“Please. Nothing to share,” Violet said. Though Jasmine wasn’t sure she believed that all that much. She always felt there were things Violet never told anyone. Just like she had things she didn’t share either.

She introduced her sister to the rest of the staff, brought her in the back and then started to look at the wedding order that was going to be delivered tomorrow.

“We’ve got it covered,” Chris said, popping her head in the back. “Violet only has two more to make and we are working out the delivery and storage.”

“That’s right,” Violet said. “You’re on vacation. Go.”

Jasmine grabbed Ivy’s arm. “Fine. Let’s go meet Lily and then I’ll take you to lunch at Mona’s.”

“Where’s Mona’s?”

“It’s Wesley’s mother’s restaurant at the marina.”

“You didn’t tell me you knew Wesley’s mother. Do Mom and Dad know about Wesley then?”

“No,” she said. “I haven’t talked to Mom in a few weeks.” They only talked to their parents once or twice a month. Different time zones and five kids made it hard for her parents to have a lot of communication.

They did send emails when they had time, but no one really wanted to sit and compose a long email either when it was easier to take an hour out of the day to talk. When they could figure out a time to do it.

“I’m sure you’ll talk to her soon. I did last week. Well, I sent her a text. She knew I was coming out to visit.”

They stopped outside of Lily’s office and she knocked on the door and then went in. “Hi, Lily. No, please don’t get up. You won’t be able to again after sitting back down.”

Lily laughed. “So true. And you must be Ivy?”

“I am,” Ivy said, moving forward. “It’s so nice to meet you. Jasmine talks so fondly of you and your sisters. I’m just in awe of what you’ve got here.”

“Thank you,” Lily said. “Aren’t you so sweet to say that.”

“I’m glad my sister has this in her life. That she has you guys too.”

Jasmine was starting to realize there was a lot more going on with her sister than met the eye and hoped she could get to the bottom of it before this visit was done.

“We’d be lost without Jasmine. She was a godsend from the skies when I needed her the most here.”

“It’s nice to be needed,” Ivy said.

“We’ll let you get back to work, Lily. Take it easy. We want that baby born soon so we can find out his name.”

“I don’t know if I couldn’t have a name picked out yet,” Ivy said.

“We can’t agree,” Lily said. “We are narrowing it down, but who knows, we might change our mind again when he’s in our arms. Not much longer.”

“Good luck,” Ivy said.

They left and walked around the shop, Ivy telling her the scents she liked and Jasmine making a mental note to pick it up later when her sister was gone. The store was too busy right now. Or she’d text someone to set it aside for her to ring up when they closed and she’d come get it later.

They drove to the marina next. “What do you think?”

“It’s beautiful,” Ivy said. “And looks crazy busy down by the water.”

“The restaurant will be too, but we’ll be able to get a seat for lunch.”

“I can’t believe your boyfriend owns this place,” Ivy said.

“Jasmine,” Mona said, as they walked into the restaurant. “So lovely to see you. And is this your sister? Wesley said she was coming to town.”

“It is. Mona Wright, my sister, Ivy Greene. We thought we’d have some lunch here and then go relax for the rest of the afternoon.”
