“Whyare you always ruining everything?” Hana snapped at Logan.

I couldn’t help but chuckle out loud. Ever since losing the baby and dealing with the fiasco of Luke, Hana started pushing back more than she ever had before.

“Ruining what, exactly?” Logan hissed. His stupidly gorgeous face was scrunched up in a frown.

“This! Us!” Hana motioned to all of us.

I had to intervene. “Hana-Banana,” I started, soothingly, “It was just a one-time thing. You know that, right?”

Her eyes welled with tears. “But it was perfect,” she whispered.

Don’t I fucking know it. But it wasn’t real. It was Logan’s way of trying to show he was in control. Which was funny because he lost the illusion of it as soon as I stepped behind him. I could still recall how his breath fluttered from just being near my naked body. And when he saw my piercing…

Fuck. I bit back a groan at the memory and moved to rearrange my erection. I didn’t want to get thrown out of this establishment before we even got to try the food.

The waitress came out with a few trays full of appetizers, interrupting our conversation. I couldn’t help feeling relieved. I didn’t want to fight tonight. I was too tired.

Hana moved her legs off me, and Logan filled a plate with food for her to munch on while we waited for the main course. I flagged the waitress and quietly placed an order for wine and whiskey. I knew how much Hana needed a drink about now, and truthfully, I was feeling the same.

“So, how was work?” Hana asked, avoiding eye contact and mumbling into her plate.

“Well, I—”

“It was—”

Both Logan and I started to speak at the same time, cutting each other off. There was a small pause of silence and then Hana started giggling. Hearing that precious sound again set me off and I let out a chuckle. Logan looked at me with mirth shining in his eyes and let out a laugh. Before long we were all laughing.

The waitress brought the wine and filled our glasses, then handed a surprised Logan a cup of whisky on the rocks. He looked at me and nudged his head towards the drink. I nodded letting him know that it was indeed me who ordered it. Then Logan shot me a grin and I swear my dick got hard as a rock. Fuck this man could wreck me with barely a blink, in more ways than one. He’s a threat to my emotional stability.

Hana and I drank wine while Logan got whisky. After that, the conversation started to move.

“My little Hana,” Logan whispered. “How have you been feeling, truthfully.”

Hana placed a shaky hand in her lap, clenching her fist. “I’m doing fine,” she muttered.

“That’s a lie, baby girl,” I objected. Then I wanted to shoot myself in the fucking face. How could I have messed up again?

Logan’s eyes shot to mine in response to my endearment. Oh, fuck, he had those crazy eyes again.

“What did you just call her?” Logan seethed from his side of the booth.

“Nothing, it was...that’s not what I…” I trailed off and grabbed my wine glass, downing it all instead of trying to explain myself.

“It’s just a nickname, you barbarian.” Hana smacked Logan in his arm, causing him to stop boring holes into the side of my head with his gaze.

“Why do you have to beat me, my little Hana? That really hurt.” He held a meaty hand over his bicep feigning pain.

“Really?” Hana leaned closer to him, inspecting his arm looking for bruises.

“Maybe if my little wife kissed it, my arm wouldn’t feel so sore,” Logan murmured, leaning forward until his face was inches away from Hana’s.

“A kiss and it will feel better?” Hana asked, her lilt pitching higher on the last word.

“Just one,” Logan replied, his mouth hovering over hers.

I watched with wide eyes waiting for the inevitable. I must’ve been leaning towards the couple to get a better look because the next thing I knew, my arm was tugged, and I fell forward. I thought I would smash my skull against Hana’s cheek, but instead my lips touched her soft ones.
