“Now?”

“Yes.” I guided his left hand into the scrap of black fabric between my legs. “Do you feel that?”

“Absolutely,” he replied as he stroked the soft bead of my clit. “You’re ready.”

“I’ve been ready.”

He shifted his weight on the sofa and laid me on the cushions, stretching my body the length of the furniture. Then he moved on top of me and kissed me again, perhaps the deepest and rawest one yet. As I returned the kiss, he tore one side of my panties, then the other, and discarded the fabric onto the nearby tile. I was naked and quivering beneath him, but all I could think about was how much I needed him to fill me. That was the only thought in my mind, and when he finally fulfilled my request, I let out a deep, full-throated cry of satisfaction.

“You’re beautiful,” he told me as he moved his body with mine, our connection deepening with each fraction of a second.

And in that moment, I really felt that way. This had turned into one of the most unexpected assignments of my life. And I loved it.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

LANDON

Morning came early.Tooearly.

Rebecca was in my bed this time instead of the pool house, the sheet draped across her naked body in a way that highlighted her soft curves. Somehow, in the tumble of the previous night, we’d managed to make it inside and up the stairs to the master bedroom. Not before I fucked her on the stairs, though. And the catwalk leading to the bedroom entrance. And a fourth time once our bodies hit the bed.

What the fuck is happening to me?

It wasn’t my usual style. I’d had sex with other women before, but I didn’t make a habit of waking up next to them, didn’t allow any of the vulnerabilities that came with the morning light seep into any interactions I had with them. I kept my distance. I stayed away.

Except with Rebecca...

I glanced at the clock. Almost seven. In another half hour, she needed to leave for her nine thirty flight to Cincinnati. I didn’t live far from the airport, but even Sundays could be busy there, especially during snowbird season. I angled my body back toward her. I hated to wake her up, hated to break whatever dream she was having and the rest she clearly needed.

But I didn’t have much choice.

After a deep breath, I knelt and kissed her shoulder, her skin fragrant and soft on my lips. She stirred after the second one and rolled over to face me. “Hey there.” Her voice was thick and groggy from limited sleep.

“Hey there, yourself.”

She raised up and stretched her arms. “What time is it?”
