“Oh! It must be definitely because of the food. Sohel always ensures we eat from the best places and orders the best dishes. He takes care of me so well.” Roopa Motiani sneaked a shy look at Aarav. “I hope your husband took care of you well the past two days.”

Sitara tried not to blush, recalling how the jerk took care of her. She could barely walk. “Uh… yes.”

“Sohel booked a helicopter ride for us,” Roopa continued. “He said it has the best view of the island. It’s my first time on a helicopter, but Sohel is used to it. Why don’t you two join us too? He went to get me a drink, but he’ll be back to tell you how good the helicopter ride is.”

“Sorry, we can’t,” Aarav drawled.

The other woman looked confused, and then she threw a sympathetic look. “Oh, I remember you didn’t do any activities the last time because you are scared of heights. My Sohel is such a daredevil, I keep assuming everyone is like him.”

Sitara nearly choked back a laugh. Aarav deserved it. But she wondered what Roopa Motiani’s reaction would be if she were to find out that Aarav was actually called Daredevil by military and the national media.

“I guess, I’m not like him,” Aarav drawled. “Excuse us.”

He dragged her away.

“I wanted to talk to her,” Sitara said. “Maybe joining them on the helicopter ride isn’t a bad idea.”

It would give a chance to not spend too much time alone with Aarav. Strangely, spending time together outside sounded more intimate than having sex in their cabin suite.

“I already have the day planned,” he drawled.

The jerk didn’t elaborate and he led them out of the lounge. Outside there was a bar area where a couple was kissing.

“It’s aCartierLove bracelet,” the man said to the woman.

Something about the man’s voice was familiar. Sitara couldn’t see his face as he was facing the other way.

“I love it,” the woman said sultrily. “You are so romantic, Sohel.”

“So, see you again tonight at seven?” the man asked. “I’ll be back early from touring the island. I’m taking the helicopter ride so it’s faster.”

Oh my God!

Before Sitara could react, Aarav dragged her away from the bar area. They were barely earshot when Sitara burst out.

“That’s Roopa Motiani’s husband!”

“I know.”

“Oh, my God! We have to tell her that he’s a cheating bastard!”

“No. Leave it.”

Sitara was pissed off. “No, I’m not going to leave it. How could he do that to her! I have to tell her!”

Sitara was outraged on behalf of the other woman. Although Roopa Motiani was a bit snobbish and materialistic, she didn’t deserve to be betrayed.

Sitara glared at Aarav. “Why would you support that cheating bastard!” she demanded. “How can you condone cheating?”

Aarav saw her pissed off look. “Who do you think she’ll believe? You or her husband?”

Sitara was taken aback by his matter-of-fact statement. He was right. Roopa Motiani would not believe anyone’s words against her husband. The woman was too smitten with that cheating bastard.

“But she has to know somehow!”

Roopa deserved a better man to adore and love.

“Leave it, Tara.”
