“Promise?” she asked.

“Yes, I promise.”

Sucking in a deep breath, she looked at him. “Then promise me you’ll rejoin as an agent,” she said softly.

There was a shocked surprise in his eyes.

“I’m the daughter of a brave army general and sister of a brave army lieutenant. And now, I’m Wing Commander Rathod’s wife. I no longer fear anything. In fact, I’m damn proud of my brave husband who makes the world safer.”

His eyes flashed and his mouth slowly twisted. He gave a growl of joy before he kissed her. “I love you so damn much,” he said.

With her heart bursting with happiness, and with no fear eating at her heart, she laughed and kissed the man who was the love of her life. “And I love you too.”

EPILOGUE

Eleven months later…

“Slow down, man. We aren’t in a fighter jet chasing an enemy.”

“We know you are eager to get back to your wife.”

Aarav’s mouth twisted into a smile at Veer and Rohan’s words. They were inSkybird’sprivate jet heading back home. He was beyond eager.

It had been two weeks since he kissed Tara before he left for a mission. He recalled her beautiful face as she lay naked and exhausted on their bed with a sultry smile telling him to hurry back to her safely. He could see a small flicker of worry in her beautiful eyes which she tried to hide bravely with a sultry smile. It only made him want to return to her faster and pull her into his arms again.

“As if you guys aren’t eager,” he said drily.

They chuckled, knowing he was right.

The three of them had been friends for too long not to know every aspect of each other’s lives. All three of them were madly and obsessively in love with their wives.

“Hey, we are eager,” said Rohan. “But not crazy like you. We proposed to our wives. We didn’t trick them into marriage by counting cards in a casino and making it seem like a bet.”

Aarav had counted cards that night in the casino when he made a bet with Tara. He passed it off as fate, but he wanted her to take a chance on their future. He knew the maddening woman loved him, but she was hesitant to be with him because she thought his life would be in danger because of her.

“We also didn’t marry our wives twice,” Veer said drily.

Aarav laughed. He did marry Tara twice. When Tara found out the truth about Dheeraj being alive and had come toSkybirdheadquarters to confront him and woo him, he proposed to her again that night.

She had laughingly shaken her head and called him a possessive jerk. She was right. He wanted no doubt in her mind or anyone else’s that they were married and belonged together.

A week later, they got married again, this time in a traditional ceremony with people who mattered to them in attendance. He even had Dheeraj attend the wedding in a small disguise along with Dheeraj’s new wife.

“You guys are crazy as me,” Aarav said to his friends. “You threw Sameera over your shoulder and carried her away from a party in front of everyone when she wouldn’t talk to you,” he told Veer. And then, he looked at Rohan. “You literally kidnapped Soniya from on the day of her wedding.”

Veer and Rohan laughed at being called out for the crazy things they had done as well.

“So which date are you going to pick to celebrate your anniversary?” Rohan asked in amusement.

Aarav grinned. “Both. But you guys are only invited to the second one.”

Rohan and Veer laughed.

Tara had become good friends with Veer and Rohan’s wives. The six of them met quite often. The three wives often gossiped about how outrageous their husbands were. Tara often said he was the most outrageous.

Aarav’s mouth twisted into a smile. He would do anything to have her by his side and keep her happy. Beautiful, stubborn, fiery, intelligent and passionate along with being generous and brave, Tara was his dream and his destiny. Forever.
