“Nix is an attractive guy,” Sophie admitted. “Those tattoos.” She widened her eyes.

Ash flexed his jaw with annoyance.” Yeah, attractive but a fucking dipshit.”

“Do you have to be good looking to be a member of this MC of yours? You all could pass as models.”

“I... no,” Ash said, blinking blankly back at her. “I studied photography at college though, I guess we’ve got a good sample of above average looking guys here.”

Sophie shrugged. “You should photograph all the guys, you are all ridiculously good looking, do like a calendar or something-”

Ash snapped his fingers. “That’s it! Yes, Sophie.” He nodded, looking at her like she’d just shared the meaning of life.

“Oh fuck, now you’ve poked the hornet’s nest,” Colt said, over their shoulders. He’d clearly been listening in.

Sophie smiled gently. “Nix has a jawline you could slice cheese on. You look like an Italian movie star, Colt, and Ash’s cheekbones have come straight off the catwalk. Not to mention Jared is the definition of beard monster-”

“Beard monster?” Colt echoed like it was a foreign word.

“Yes, you know, like a tall, big, hunky, bearded lumberjack type of a guy… and I don’t even need to point out the well-balanced features of Rafe and Rita…”

“And your Phantom could set things on fire with just a look.” Ash winked back at her, his spark lit up again.

“That he does.” Sophie nodded, laughing.

Ash turned excitedly to Colt. “Colt, let me take that forward... you said you wanted a community project, get people on our side.”

“Yeah but... what, photographing us?” Colt raised his eyebrows doubtfully. “Who wants to stare at that for a month?”

“I mean… you’re all catches...” Sophie continued.

April overheard and joined them. “I do want to get something out into the community, Colt, get a positive buzz going, get the local business owners on our side, if they can see the bottom line impact of having the MC in town, that’s half the battle. I’ve made progress with the farmers market, I’m also planning that charity ball I mentioned the other day-”

“I mean, like us… posing… like models?” Colt sounded incredulous.

Sophie bit her lip. She dared to go one step further, she saw her mother shaking her head in disapproval but blurted it out anyway. “Naked. A naked calendar.”

Colt gaped back. April giggled. Ash looked like he could kiss her.

“Just a thought,” she said breezily, knowing she’d stirred the pot enough for them all to take it further.

But then Lyle wobbled into the bar, knocking over a few glasses as he did so.

Colt tutted under his breath. “Is that fucker drunk?”

Ash grabbed Lyle by the scruff of his neck. “Yo, Lyle, dude, what the fuck is going on?”

Sophie blinked, she had seen him downing something from a bottle while everyone was welcoming Nix.

April threw Colt a worried glance. “Is this going to be a problem? He’s on the rotation for the run tonight,” April said.

Colt growled and gave Lyle a wake up slap to his cheeks. “Lyle, you’re meant to be working tonight, it’s a delivery to the Guardians, buddy, we can’t fuck this up!”

“How much have you had?” Ash asked, Lyle now flopping into Ash’s arms, and Ash buckled under the weight of the much larger guy.

Phantom was there, hauling Lyle up. Too much, Sophie thought in reply to Ash’s question. Phantom spread him down on a table. Lyle was out cold.

“How?” Colt ran a hand through his swept back hair, loosening more strands than he tucked back. “Dane is under strict instructions to only serve him a few beers…”

“We’re going to need a plan B tonight,” Ash huffed, helping Phantom to get Lyle up onto Jared’s back in a fireman’s lift.
