No way the old man was walking outta there without a proper proposal.

And no way known my Christmas Eve was gonna have a baby without a ring on her finger.

Extra Extended Epilogue

Eve

Three years later on Christmas Eve…

“And you wrapped a pair of Denali’s all by yourself?” I ask, having to put my face in front of Ezekiel’s as he pushes out the last of his crunches.

“Nine hundred ninety nine… ugh!Yes.” He says matter of fact, not even puffed. Kissing me on his final crunch before he gently lifts baby Casper from my hip. Lifting him up and down in the air until he shrieks and giggles with delight.

“He sure does love a workout,” Ezekiel observes, making me feel proud as any mama would. Watching her baby with his daddy.

Our daddy…

“You don’t think it's a little over the top?” I ask, “Getting Ronnie and Ricky a car each for Christmas. But he only shrugs. Nuzzling his nose into Casper’s tiny neck, making him gurgle and kick.

Definitely working something out of his own.

“I put your name on the cards too, baby. And it’s not a car, it’s a Denali” He assures me, making my shoulders slump. But not with annoyance. With relief.

I never know what to get those two. Especially now they’re so… normal. It’s like I don’t even know them anymore.

“How do you always know just what to do to make life so perfect?” I ask aloud, not really expecting a reply. Watching my man take our youngest over to the change table after sniffing his poopy diaper.

“You should get ready.” He reminds me after shrugging to himself, totally absorbed in our baby, casually checking the time on his watch. But I know what he really means whenever he wants me to ‘get ready’.

Still makes me shiver every time I hear him say it.

Especially after one of his marathon but everyday workouts that keep him in such amazing shape.

My own shape has shifted some over the pats few years, but Ezekiel won’t ever quit telling me just how much he loves me more and more each day.

Even after three kids and another on the way.

He wasn’t kidding when he refers to my favorite part of him as his ‘baby maker’.

And I guess I wasn’t fooling when I call him daddy all the time.

Guess you gotta watch what you wish for, but all our wishes have come true. And this year’s family Christmas at the Ellis mansion is shaping up to be the best ever.

Ezekiel cleans up and changes baby Casper with expert precision and in record time. Doing that thing he does when he holds him, humming low and deep so the little guy flakes out with his mama’s big dumb grin from ear to ear before his daddy lays him gently in his crib.

Turning those dark eyes to me only when he's sure we won't be interrupted.

“Now…” he announces, taking in a long breath through his nose. A mad grin of his own spreading across his features and making me shudder on the spot.

“You know what to do…” He rasps, eying the doorway.

I always get self-conscious, even after all this time. But it’s just something so… Something so damned sweet I can't help but indulge his little kink.

As if I don't have a couple of my own kicking around.

“C’mon, baby girl. I’m gonna bust a nut here…” Ezekiel groans, sounding like a horny teenager.

“Alright, alright.” I assure him, fixing my hair quickly and checking myself in the mirror before I head out. Whispering to him as I pass him, “I’ll let you know when I’m in position…daddy…” Wanting to peck his cheek.
