Hoarse cries ripped from my throat as I demanded more and more from my men, and they gave me everything they had.
Somewhere in the middle of our sex, things changed between the three of us. Four - because even though Nicolas wasn’t visible, I felt his presence burrowing into my mind, locking me to him even as he gave me up to the others.

I’d rescue Cade. And I’d fucking get that throne, with Merden’s head on a stake outside the palace walls.
Finally spent, we untangled carefully and lay in a heap on the bed, each of us breathing heavily.
“Fucking amazing,” Kas mumbled, as I turned my head to give him a leisurely kiss, tasting my own blood on his tongue.
Propping my head up with a bent elbow, I grinned down at him, relishing the aches in my body. I glanced over my shoulder at Luca’s massive form, curling into me from behind, his long fingers gripping my hip.
“When all this shit is over, I’m taking you both to Earth. We can watch that vampire and werewolf movie. Maybe visit Paris. Eiffel Tower and all.” I snickered to myself, content with knowing they had no idea what I was joking about.
“Yeah, and I owe you some cheese fries, whatever those are,” Kas added, scrubbing his hand over his face.
“Fuck, yes. We might never come home again.”
We lay in sleepy silence for a few more moments before a rapid-fire knock sounded on the door. Luca cursed and stumbled off the bed, yanking on his pants. Kas sort of pulled the blanket over us, hiding most of our bodies but none of the evidence of what we’d been doing.
We were both covered in blood and cum was now dripping between my legs into a sizable spot on the mattress. Worth it.
“Who is it?” Luca growled, peering through the peephole.
“If you and Kana are done playing poke the princess, I have news,” Blaise yelled through the door, and I bit down a snicker.
Luca swung open the door, and Blaise’s eyes widened noticeably when she stuck her head around the corner and saw Kas in bed with me.
“Wow. The three of you, then. Good for you, girl,” she said, nodding to me. “Now, do you want the good news or the bad first?”
“Good,” Kas answered before I could.
“The good news is, if you need an alibi, at least you have two to choose from,” she teased, gesturing toward my wolf’s ruddy cheeks. Kas, though - he was smiling like a cat who’d gotten the cream. I was pretty sure I was, too.
“What do I need an alibi for? Another dead gobbelin?” I asked, feeling a little more ready to take on our mess of problems again.
“Nope. Dead competitor. Celestine was just found drained of blood, right around the corner from her rooms. Nobody seems to have seen anything, but rumors have you as the culprit.”
I groaned. “Ridiculous. The mist would have already swallowed me up.”
Blaise just shrugged. “Since when do rumors have to make sense? Anyway. On to the bad news.”
“Celestine isn’t the bad news?” Luca asked, scowling.
“Not for us. One fewer competitor, right? The bad news is, Merden’s calling everyone into the banquet hall. She’s beginning the third Trial.”
“Right now?” I sighed. I could really use a bath.
“Right fucking now,” Blaise confirmed.
“She wants us all out of her hair, and the nobles distracted with games. She’s going to sweep this gobbelin mess right under the rug,” Kas predicted.
“Better get cleaned up, kitten. If I beat you down there, I’ll make sure to hear everything,” Luca offered. He didn’t mention Kas, but both of us needed to wash away the blood. Evidence of sex and blood play wouldn’t go unnoticed in a roomful of vampires.
Blaise gave a jaunty little wave and headed out, Luca right behind her.
“Thank you,” I whispered to Kas when we were alone. He cocked his head at me. “For seeing me, and not Merden. For letting Luca in.”
“Well, since you obviously enjoyed it so much,” Kas taunted, sliding his hand between my legs to run his fingers through the mess they’d made.
