I instantly grin back at him, jumping to my feet I rush over and climb in. I close the door and turn to him. The second I do, he kisses me. I whimper, happily kissing him back.

“I got you a coffee, sweetness,” he says, nodding to the Starbucks cup.

“Yay! Caffeine.” He knows me too well. I snatch it up, taking a sip I sigh with happiness.

Ezra chuckles at my reaction. “So easily pleased, baby girl.”

“Yes, I am. So, would you like to tell me where we are going?” I might as well try my luck.

“You should know better than that by now. I will not give you an answer,” he states firmly.

I roll my eyes. “Meh!”

Ezra reaches over, resting his hand on my thigh. “Please don’t get mad at me, okay?” He sounds nervous.

I place my hand over his, intertwining our fingers. “Why would I get mad at you, handsome?”

“You will understand why I said it when we arrive.”

Seriously, that is all I’m getting. I was hoping for something a little more. “I’m not going to promise because I have no idea what it is, but I can promise to try and not get mad at you.” What could he possibly have done to make me mad?

“I will take what I can get,” he says with a smile that looks forced.

Ezra puts all his attention on his driving, not saying anything more. I hear the odd tap of his fingers on the steering wheel. Him being nervous is making me feel the same way. Since when are surprises supposed to make you so on edge? I stare out of the window and get lost in my head. I don’t know how long we drive for, but when we come to a stop it makes me turn to face Ezra.

He rubs the back of his neck when he switches off the engine. “We are here,” he whispers.

I glance at the building we have pulled into. It looks modern but it’s beautiful. I love how everyone seems to have a balcony. Though, what I don’t know is why we are here.

“It's beautiful, but why have you brought me here? Have you bought a new apartment or something?” It is the only thing I can think of.

He reaches over, pecking my lips. “Let’s head in, and I will tell you.”

I nod, and we climb out of the car. When I reach Ezra’s side, he offers me his hand. I smile, taking it, and he leads us inside. He takes a key from his pocket and uses it to open the security door.

He holds it open. “Ladies first.”

I grin brightly. “Thank you, kind sir.”

Ezra chuckles. “No problem, my lady.”

I step into a carpeted hallway; Ezra swats my ass. He lets the door close behind him, resting his hand on the small of my back. He guides us to our destination, stopping after a few minutes and uses another key to open the front door.

We step into an apartment, and I am in complete awe of the place. It is stunning, open planned and a great size. The walls are red and silver, and the silver paint has sparkles through it. Everything in the place looks brand new and matches. I stay silent as I admire the area. The wooden floors are gorgeous, and the view is incredible.

“What do you think? Do you like it?” he asks, breaking the silence.

“Yes. It is lovely. Though, it seems a little too girly for you.”

I can’t see the fluffy pillows on the sofa being his taste. Ezra starts walking away towards the doors which open to the balcony.

“It-It isn’t f-for me.” When he stammers, I become mildly concerned. I can only make out his words and no more. I follow him, and by the time I reach him, he has the doors open and has stepped out onto the balcony, leaning against the rail.

I take my spot next to him. “Who is it for?”

He slowly turns his head to make eye contact with me. “It’s for you.” I can hear the nervousness in his voice.

I jump back, glaring at him. “No!”
