“Yes, well, she’s—”

“Do not fucking say it,” Lex mutters, and Elliot narrows his eyes at him. “I hear it all the fucking time.”

Elliot eyes our hands and then sighs loudly. “Well, she is, Lex. But she’s fine. There is nothing to be worried about. I’ll see her again in a few months, or sooner if anything comes up.”

Lex sags in relief and then leans toward Elliot. “You’re telling me the truth, right? Because you know what I did for you…youoweme.”

Elliot’s cheeks darken and he folds his arms across his chest.

“Yes, I do know and yes, I am telling you the truth.”

Lex examines him closely for a moment and then lets go of my hand, marching into the room and leaving me with the doctor.

He eyes me and then says, “Really, out of all the people I imagined Lex with, it was not someone like you.”

My eyebrows meet at that, and my mouth opens to protest because yes, we are different, but we work just fine. But before I can utter a single word, he interrupts me.

“It’s just an odd pairing, that’s all I’m saying, but who am I to talk?”

When I don’t respond he just sighs. “Never mind. Do you have any other concerns or questions?”

I shake my head and then stop suddenly. “Actually, yes, I do.”

Then I feel my face flush to epic proportions because really, is this my life right now?

“I have a question aboutme, actually.”

Elliot’s eyebrow rises, and I clear my throat, stalling because I don’t know how to word it.

“Any day now,” Elliot mutters.

I just decide to go for it before my grandma makes an appearance. She doesn’t need to hear this.

“Ever since meeting Lex, my….” I gesture to my crotch. “It’s up all the time,” I whisper, trying to be discreet.

Elliot looks at me and then looks at my crotch. “It’s calledattraction.”

I feel my skin nearly melt off my body and then shake my head. “There’s nothing I can do?”

“Unfortunately, no. You’re going to have to just suffer through.”

“But it’s bothersome. When I say all the time, I meanall the time.”

He purses his lips and adjusts his glasses.

“Then I suggest you stay away from Lex if he’s the one causing this.”

My head lurches back. “Impossible.”

“Then you’re doomed. There is no hope left,” he says with a small smirk.

Is he deriving pleasure from this? What an asshole.

The exam door opens, and I eyeball Lex who is helping my grandma cross the hallway and I feel my heart clench.

“I am doomed,” I mutter, adjusting my dick in my pants once more.

There’s nothing to be done, it seems.
