I am stuck with a hard dick for life.

I have accepted my fate.

CHAPTERTWELVE

LEX

“Okay,” I say, trying to get the ladies to listen to me. They’re talking over me though and I am growing exasperated. They pretend not to hear me with their hearing aids, but it’s all a lie. I know they can. I don’t even know if they really need hearing aids, to be honest.

These women have the hearing range of motherfucking hawks when they want to.

“Hello?” I say a little louder, waving my hands a little to try and get their attention. But no one bats an eye at me.

I glance over and see William smiling at the whole situation and I roll my eyes. He’s unhelpful as usual. But still just as delicious.

You will apologize, William, once I get my tongue up your ass. You’ll beg me for forgiveness.

I move in front of the three of them chatting happily on the couch and place my hands on my hips, narrowing my eyes at them. But no one is paying any attention to me. Not until William moves up to my side and runs his hand across my stomach.

Their banter slows and finally, all of their eyes are on us.

Oh, these nosy bitches. Always harping on us.When is the wedding? Can I be in the wedding party?

They just skipped over the boyfriend part entirely and have the two of us engaged. They’ve already started a Honeyfund for us, for fuck’s sake.

I had to look that shit up when Martha mentioned it. I had no idea what it meant. Sounded a little kinky. But it turns out, they’re planning our honeymoon to Tahiti.

I’ve known William for two weeks. They’re out of their minds.

Not so fast, ladies. Give me at least a month.

“Oh, Lex,” Martha says with a sly smile. “So sorry. Were you talking to us?”

I point my finger at her as I lean into William. He smells like coconuts.

“I was, actually, and you know it. You only just paid attention because William is here now, and he looks edible.”

I peek over at him, seeing his red cheeks, and smirk a little.

Nothing has changed. He still turns the color of bubblegum every time I look at him.

That will never get old.

Martha smirks at me and the corners of my mouth turn up in a smile. These mischievous ladies. Giving me hell. I probably deserve it. Karma and all that shit.

“What’s so important that you just had to interrupt us?” Vikki asks.

I narrow my eyes at her, and she blows me a kiss. I ignore it, even though my heart swells from the gesture. I never had parents who did things like this. I don’t remember one affectionate touch. To be honest, I don’t know why my mother even had me. I was a nuisance, a bother, something she was saddled with. She spent more time yelling at me, throwing things at me, and hurting me than anything else. And then there were days she’d just flat-out ignore me.

I never knew this kind of normalcy until I met these women.

These goofy signs of affection have taken some getting used to but now I wish I’d never had to go without them.

“Okay, so I know you all have been nagging me to bring you to get tattoos…” They all start talking once more and I have to wait for them to quiet down. But my ear catches something Brenda is saying, and I frown.

“Absolutely not, Bren. You will be getting one over my dead body and William agrees. Right?”

Brenda eyes her grandson and he nods his head, his hand snaking around my back and settling on my ass.
