Page 61 of Always Him

Am I dumb? How did I not know this?

“Look it’s not a big deal and I don’t think he really thought much of it.”

I narrow my eyes at him as his phone buzzes in his hand once more.

My eyes are slits now.

“Answer that and die,” I hiss and Finn’s lips twitch. “Put it down and come here,” I demand. I need some privacy. My mom is out at the grocery store and my dad, Theo, and Vincent are in the greenhouse. But Logan is just as nosy as me and I don’t want his ears homing in on this. And they will home. Like a drone.

Finn wraps his arm around my waist and I lean into him despite being annoyed.

When we make it to the garage, I open it and step inside, seeing Vincent’s goat swing still inside, now with a seesaw attached to it. Apparently, my dad hasn’t given up on this. Vincent is getting a friend.

The door shuts behind us with a click and Finn turns me in his arms.

“Yes?” he asks.

I glare up at him.

“You know what you did,” I say.

His hand cups the back of my neck.

“It wasn’t done to hurt you. It just never came up. There was never a good time…”

He’s massaging my shoulder now and I arch into it, loving his hands on me.

I try to keep my eyelids from drooping but am doing a terrible job. They want to close. I want to nuzzle into him and fall asleep.

“God, your hands,” I groan. “I am still mad, but you’re making conversation impossible.”

He chuckles, his thumbs working up the side of my neck now and I’m pressed into him, purring.

“Will you forgive me?” he asks lowly and I peer up at him through drooping eyelids.

His lips brush mine and I just melt.

“Maybe,” I manage to mutter against him because I will not be giving in so easily.

His tongue sweeps into my mouth and I clutch onto him, my irritation dissipating as he eats at my mouth.

“Forgive me, Landon. Say you do. I can’t stand you being upset with me.”

I groan as he sucks on my tongue, grinding slowly against me, driving me mad in the best way.

“Ugh. Logically, I know there really isn’t anything to forgive. I know you weren’t obligated to tell me. I just feel…sad everyone knew but me.”

“I wanted to tell you,” he murmurs, kissing his way across my cheeks and down my neck. “I just…I couldn’t.”

I hold him against me as he sucks a mark onto my skin, but suddenly his lips are wrenched away when the garage door starts to roll open. And we peel apart, my dick hard, my breathing labored.

“Shit,” he says and then adjusts himself as my mom pulls the SUV into the garage. She waves at us as she hops out, her hair a mess of curls, her eyes bright.

“Waiting with bated breath to help me carry in the groceries?” she teases, probably noticing my swollen mouth and what I’m sure is a red mark on my neck. I adjust my sweater, making sure to cover the bulge in my pants and the mark on my skin.

Kind of useless because nothing gets past this woman. My dad never stood a chance with the goat.

“Uh, yeah,” Finn mutters, moving away from me and reaching into the trunk, grabbing all the bags in one hand. It’s impressive, actually.
