“I’m glad it worked out,” I said to Mark.

“It did,” was his only reply.

“Goodnight,” I said, and he waved before taking the girls into the house.

The guest house was too quiet, so I turned on the TV and sent another message to Honor.

Back from my little excursion with the family. Still drinking on the porch?I sent.

Her response was immediate. We moved our drinking to the living room. Lark won’t pick out a movie to watch.

What are the choices?I asked.

She listed them and I told her which movie she should watch.

Have you seen it?she asked.

About five million times, I responded. The movie was one of my favorites.

Okay, Lark said we could watch that one, she sent.

Happy to be of service, I replied.

We shot messages back and forth like that for the next two hours, and I didn’t even think she was watching the movie. That was fine. I’d just make her watch it with me sometime so I could see her reactions.

It was growing increasingly more difficult to not think about Honor. I thought of her when I woke up and made breakfast. I thought of her after she went into the office with Mark. I thought of her when I was alone in the guest house the most. Many of those thoughts involved nudity, but I wasn’t ashamed of that. If you couldn’t masturbate to the thought of your sort of undefined girlfriend, then what even was the point?

Honor obviously wanted to take things slow, and I was doing my best, but my thoughts about Honor were slow, fast, and everything in between, and it was getting to be a real problem.

Chapter Sixteen

The next dayI stood in my bedroom and looked at three different outfits spread out on my bed. It was unusual for me to take a while deciding what to wear, but I was all in my head about it today for some reason.

I wanted to impress both Honor and Lark, but for different reasons. My outfit for Honor should make her think of pulling me away to do dirty things, and my outfit for Lark should convey that I was the kind of woman she wanted dating her older sister.

A dilemma, since there were very few outfits that could speak to both of those needs.

In the end, I decided on a light blue dress that had buttons down the front and hit me about mid-calf and made my boobs look really good. Breezy and casual, but still sexy.

The thick straps hid my bra straps, because there was no way that I could walk around without worrying about one of my boobs trying to make an escape.

The girls were tucked in securely, and I did a double check for underwear lines before sliding my feet into my sandals, adding my favorite sunglasses, and grabbing my bag.

Just as I was going out the door, I nabbed my jean jacket just in case it got chilly.

Honor said that she’d pick me up, which I assumed she was doing so she didn’t have to show me her house. I still hadn’t told her about that little afternoon excursion, and I wondered how long it would take before she’d actually show it to me.

I hoped she didn’t think I would judge her. I couldn’t throw stones about anyone’s living situation when I was living in a guest house that I didn’t pay for. Sure, Mark was rich and had a huge house, but Liam and I had grown up very frugal and had shared a room until I’d moved out for college.

Honor showed up five minutes early, as predicted, and I barely waved before someone jumped out of the passenger seat and came over to me.

“Lark!” Honor yelled, getting out.

I was greeted by a smiling face that was so similar to Honor’s that I did a double take. Her cheeks were a little rounder and her hair a few shades darker blonde and pulled into a messy bun.

“I’m sorry, I couldn’t wait anymore. Hi, I’m Lark,” she said, waving. I’d thought she was going to pull me into a hug, but she stopped just short of doing so.

“Hi, Lark, I’m Layne,” I said.
