Lark flopped onto my chest, pillowing her head on one of my breasts.

“Thanks for letting me borrow your dick,” she said.

“It can be yours now. I’ve never used that one before,” I said.

“No one’s ever given me a dick before,” she said.

“I’m happy to be the first one,” I said. “I’ve got other ones you can try, and if you decide you want to buy your own, you can ask Ezra. Her reviews are really solid.”

“Do you have one of those double ended ones?” she asked.

“Maybe,” I said.

Lark sat up. “Can we try it?”

“Give me a few more minutes to rest and I’ll go grab it,” I said, laughing at her enthusiasm. I may have created a sex monster.

“Doyou want to sleep in your bed tonight?” she asked after we’d showered.

I shook my head. “Nope. I like yours.”

“Okay,” she said as we crawled under her covers together and held each other.

There seemed to be something left unsaid, so I turned to face her.

“What is it?” I asked.

She opened her mouth and then changed her mind and kissed me. “Nothing. I’m just tired.”

“You sure?” I asked.

“Let’s go to bed,” she said, getting up to turn off the light.

“Joy, this is Everly,”I said the next day when Joy happened to “stop by” so she could “buy a present” for someone.

Everly looked a little scared, but Joy smiled at her and shook her hand.

“It’s so nice to meet you, Everly,” Joy said. “Syd has said nothing but good things about you.”

Everly nodded her head, her face red.

Joy wasn’t deterred. She pulled Everly aside as a few customers walked in and I went to greet them. By the time I had rung up the sale of two mugs, Joy had Everly laughing at something.

“Absolutely no pressure at all to come, but we’d love to have you. It’s in two weeks and we’re doing a Valentine’s theme since it’s near the holiday,” Joy said.

“I’ll think about it,” Everly said. “If I’m not busy.”

Joy beamed. “Fantastic. There will be tons of food and drinks, if that helps sway you.”

Everly laughed. “I do love both food and drinks.”

“I had the feeling you might,” Joy said. “Come by the bookstore anytime and I’ll give you some free books to welcome you to Arrowbridge.”

“Oh, you don’t need to do that, I can pay for books,” Everly said, but Joy waved her off.
