‘I think you just went to war with my dick because it felt like you were about to murder me down there,’ he said between throated groans, trying to still himself from the high.
‘You had to say something.’ I wasn’t angry this time, just amused that I defeated him so quickly.
He rushed to catch my nipple between his teeth. ‘Get used to it.’
Oh, I was going to get used to it for sure, especially since I had two other of his kind.
My hand glided to tangle in his hair, keeping him there, dragging out the last moments of our first real night together. That happened for about three to four hours... we had fallen asleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night with my lips glued on some wings tattoo that spread from his shoulders to his neck. His pulse was merging with mine into a silent melody. He felt so peaceful, and so did I, even though peace was so far away from me.
‘Shush,’ I heard him whisper into my ear. It was almost morning, and I could still feel my hand trembling from the dream that managed to wake even Cole up.
The fists, the fear, the beatings— the same nightmare on repeat almost every night.
He was probably getting used to it by now. It wasn’t the first time he heard my cries and probably wouldn’t be the last. But it was the first time he found a quick remedy to my anguishing memories. His lips magnetized towards mine, drying my tears with promises of something no man ever offered me before.
Love.
He didn’t need to say it. Feeling it made so much more sense.
And I did. I felt it with every thumb that ran across my cheeks and every small kiss that fell upon my lips.
He was falling in love with me.
I had won my first battle, and the king of EMA had won a piece of my heart.
Chapter 6
It was morning— again. Late morning if I was to look at the time, but it was Saturday, so no attending classes for any of us.
‘Sorry for ruining your sleep.’ I wrapped my arms around his neck, casting a sorrowful smile.
‘You mean last night when you kept me prisoner between the sheets or this morning?’
‘Ikept you prisoner?’ I retaliated, trying to get away from the cage of his arms.
‘What exactly are you trying to do?’ He curved the corner of his lips into a smile.
‘To get out of bed.’
‘I can see that, but why?’
‘Do you want us to be lazing here all day long?’
‘Lazing wasn’t exactly what I had in mind.’ He sneaked an arm on the curve of my back, moving his mouth towards mine.
‘I... have... to... go... back... to... the... mansion.’ I spoke between kisses that were just about to ignite last night’s torching fire.
‘Now?’ He didn’t seem happy with the idea.
‘I promised Seb and Nat I’d spend the day with them. We won’t have too much time to be together now that I’m back at EMA and they’re in school... Plus my deals.’ I lowered my voice as a silent reminder that I had to return to the real world soon enough.
Cole didn’t seem too bothered about the othertasksI might have to perform. ‘I’m free for the day.’
‘Are you saying you want to spend time with us?’ I couldn’t deny that I was surprised he was willing to get involved at this level, but the thought of him actually spending quality time around my family was raising a strange emotion.
‘Don’t worry. No decent thoughts here.’ He mustered a smile. ‘I was thinking more like all of us playing cards or something like that, and when I win, I would get to give you your dares a little later in the bedroom.’
