“And sometimes, the power of love can break a spell, I think that’s what happened when we first made love.”

Daxon and Wilder’s growls surrounded me. I blushed under their gazes.

Ares didn’t seem perturbed by their show of aggression. “So I’m proposing that you bond with all three of us, with the hope that it will break the spell.”

I stiffened. “Wait, what do you mean by bonding? Like all of you bite me?”

He cupped my face, his lips on mine. “Much more than just biting, little dove. We’ll all make love to you. Rune, you’re meant to be with all three of us. And I am hoping this will weaken the curse so your memories return.”

I blinked at him, unsure what to say. “I…” I licked my lips, looking around at Daxon and Wilder, both who watched me intently with love in their eyes. And based on everything I’d learned, I’d had sex with all three men numerous times already. So what was one more time, right?

Despite being startled and scared…and awkward, there was also a level of excitement crawling through me.

How often did a girl have three god-like men insisting she belonged to them?

Was I imagining this and about to have the sexiest dream of my life?

Short of pinching myself, trepidation did sit in my chest.

“So, you’re saying this might help me remember my past?” I repeated again, even though he’d already said that.

“We’re hoping so,” Wilder said, reaching over, his hand on my thigh, his touch burning hot, and when Daxon slid his fingers across my waist, I was starting to overheat.

Glancing up at Ares, I stared at him, trying to see deep into his eyes and understand if this was exactly whathewanted.

“I absolutely love you, Rune, and this isn’t a light decision to make, but I’ve also had you to myself all this time. And I wouldn’t do anything that would hurt you. Daxon and Wilder are yours. Just like I am yours. Our relationship is just more equal now.” He leaned in closer, our noses touching, and I loved it when he did that. “But this is only if you want to do it, of course. The decision is with you, okay?”

I was nodding, looking over at the other two who were in agreement. My heart was galloping, and having all their hands on me drove me slightly crazy with need. But that wasn’t a reason to sleep with men who felt like complete strangers.

“And you’re okay with sharing me?” I asked Ares.

“In my dreams, you’re only mine. But you were Daxon’s and Wilder’s before I found you. I’m not a heartless bastard, my dove, and I understand the torture of losing someone you adore. I watched your suffering as you let go of Alistair. I never want you to suffer again. So, I’m completely fine with sharing you. It doesn’t mean I love you any less. It just means I knew they occupy a part of your soul, just like I do. But the final decision is always yours…”

I nodded and pressed against his chest, and he embraced me, kissing my head. “Whatever you decide, I’ll support,” he reassured me.

“I love you.” And I remained buried against him, closing my eyes, trying to come to terms with what they’d just asked me. And if I was ready for this.

CHAPTER 17

RUNE

Two days had passed, and I still hadn’t given Ares my answer. Instead, Wilder and Daxon were being shown around the village, introduced to the people. All seemed well on the outside, but when they were alone with Ares, it seemed to turn into an argument everytime. They were still struggling to forgive Ares for keeping me away from them.

I understood why he did it. I also wasn’t completely happy about it, and I got why the other two were upset.

And it made me wonder if we tried bonding together, if the tension between them would dissipate. It also surprised me how hesitant I was to find out about my past. From everything I’d learned so far, it was chaotic and I’d rather enjoyed being oblivious for a while.

The four of us sat around the dinner table, enjoying a meal while I still pushed the garlic bread around on my plate.

“Is everything alright, little dove?” Ares asked.

“Yeah,” I answered and took a small bite, my stomach not hungry, my mind heavy with my thoughts.

“You’ve barely eaten anything,” Daxon added.

I shrugged. “Guess I’m not that hungry.”

“Is something on your mind?” Wilder asked, his bare feet under the table sliding over, bumping mine, and I didn’t pull back.
