I didn’t just eat all that, did I? Yes, I did, and I’m about to have more.

“This is incredible,” I tell Silas as I help myself to another slice of the roast he clearly slaved over.

“I can think of a few things I’d rather be eating,” Carter mutters, shooting me a salacious glance.

Silas smiles. “It’s no different from the usual Sunday roast I make.”

“Listen to Mr. Modesty,” Carter says with a snort.

“It’s fucking good,” Adrian utters between bites.

Silas shrugs off the praise, but I know he’s pleased. He’s wearing that smile that’s barely visible, but I can see it so clearly in his dark eyes. He loves to cook for us.

“I like the red streaks,” Silas says, motioning to my hair.

Suddenly, I can feel Carter’s eyes on me. I fight back the urge to cringe. Silas covers his smirk raising a glass of water to his lips. When I turn to Carter, my Omega mate is wearing a mournful look as he reaches out to twist a red lock around his finger.

Goddess alive.

Why do I get the feeling Silas and Carter did nothing but argue the whole time I was gone?

Thanks, Silas.

I raise my eyebrows at our Beta, and he shrugs back at me as he puts his glass down.

It’s not like Carter wasn’t going to bring it up at some point, but Silas could have avoided making it a whole thing.

“What happened?” Carter asks, sounding sad.

“It’s just for tonight,” I tell him. “I thought you might kind of like it.”

I know how much he loves the blue streaks that match the color he always dyes his own hair, and I love them too.

His bright, dark-lined eyes meet mine. “You’d look good in any color.”

I give him a smile. He’s not really upset about my hair. If anything, he’s still stuck thinking about what we were going to do before Adrian stopped us.

“My favorite’s always going to be blue,” I reassure him, reaching out to stroke my fingers through his hair.

He smiles back at me, leaning into my touch. “I’ll help you dye it back after your date with Silas.”

“My date with Silas?” I ask.

“It’s our night,” Silas tells me.

Right. We set up a weekly schedule so the guys could cover shifts at the bar and spend equal amounts of time with me. On the days the bar is closed, we all hang out together, so I’m a little bit confused.

“It’s Christmas Eve, though,” I tell him, raising an eyebrow. “Shouldn’t this be a shared night?”

“That’s what I said!” Carter exclaims.

“Well, you were gone for a few days,” Adrian says. “Also, Silas’ gift is kind of a whole thing.”

I blink at him. “Um, what?”

“You’ll see after dinner,” Carter says, rolling his eyes.

“We’re exchanging gifts tonight?”
