She stretches up and kisses me deeply, her tongue stroking alongside mine until I feel my cock throbbing with the need to own her body.

“I want you to take me like you really want to take me. None of this holding back. I want the animal.”

Slamming deep, I watch as her head falls back and she sings that magical song again, her voice breaking.

“Yes, yes. Harder, faster. Don’t stop. Don’t ever stop!”

And slave to her desires and my own need, I do exactly as she asks. Thrusting harder and faster until I’m pistoning in and out of her silky, warm tunnel.

Her legs wrap around my waist and she meets me thrust for thrust wildly, taking as good as she’s giving. Over and over, our bodies sliding along each other, the friction of our ecstasy building until I feel my dick jerk over and over in her. Her voice shrieks out her own orgasm and I strike, sinking my teeth into the soft curve where her shoulder meets her throat. Then I run my tongue across it until it begins to heal.

Her pussy pulses around me again, dragging every bit of my release into her until I fall across her wilting body, drained and replete for the first time in my life.

Rolling over, I drag her limp, plush body up until she’s cradled in my arms and her soft, panted breaths caress the skin of my chest.

“I love you, mate. I’ve waited an eternity and looked for you everywhere. To finally have you and know that you’re mine is my greatest joy. Our future is entwined forever and more. Until the end of days, we are one.”

Her eyes stay closed, but a sweet smile tilts her soft lips. “Good. I don’t think that I could bear it if you ever left me.”

“I would be tearing my own heart out if I did.”

“Good. Because mine would fall apart as well.”

And with those words, our fates were sealed. Forever and more.

Epilogue One: Artemis

“Are you sure you want to do this, my love?”

I nod and step closer to the vault, feeling the first faint stirrings of souls around me.

Unlike all the other times where I struggled to keep my mind and body under control, I now have help.

Christian’s big body blocks out the horrors of death around me so that I can focus on the one thing that I’m looking for. David McDermott’s vault.

I run my hand lightly down the cold stone and the electric tingle of a soul at rest inside zips into my bones.

“David?” I whisper, “are you here?”

Like a sighing wind, a voice answers me. “I am. Who are you? I feel your blood tied to mine. I never had any children so how is that possible?”

My head sinks down as my hand rests on the rough wall. “I’m so sorry. Do you remember a young woman that you had a…relationship here? A young woman from somewhere else who had to leave?”

“Gertrude,” the voice sighs and I can feel the longing and love in just that one word. Tears spring to my eyes.

“Yes. She wanted me to let you know that she was pregnant when she left. She didn’t know. But then her parents had arranged a marriage for her and she didn’t know how to tell them no. So she didn’t. And she felt like it would hurt you to tell you about the baby.”

“Where are they?”

The tears come faster. “My father passed away in a car accident when I was a child.”

“A boy? I had a son?”

“Yes. And she named him David. I assume after you. A final tribute to her one and only love. Other than her son. And me.”

“My granddaughter.” His soul stirs and then a glow surrounds the wall and I back away, my mouth falling open.

A young, blond man steps out of the building. “You look like me,” he rumbles. “Do you look like my son?”
