“Hey,” came a soft voice from behind me. Turning, I couldn’t help but smile when I saw my beautiful wife leaning against the barn door.

Her eyes fell to the test in my hand. “I know how much you love a good surprise, so…”
I moved as fast as I could and took her into my arms. Her laugh was beautiful and carefree as she wrapped her arms around my neck.
“You’re pregnant.”
“Yep. Are you happy?”
“Happy? Saryn, I’m the luckiest guy in the state of Texas.”
Her fingers raked through my hair, and her grin turned to a frown. She moved my head to the side and started to laugh.
