His arms loop around me, holding me to his chest. “I told you, Ro. Whatever you need. I’ll give you.”

Chapter 8

We leave the next morning for Osprey Falls and the small private college just on the outside of the town.

I grumble when Fielder comes to wake me and Ezra. We’d made ample use of the temporary anti-pregnancy charm and stayed up far too late. And then we took turns waking each other up with searching mouths and hungry hands.

Yeah, to say I’m exhausted and a little on the achy side as I tromp downstairs with a weekender bag slung over my shoulder is an understatement.

Kohaku moves against my ribs and I can’t tell if it’s him getting comfortable against my skin after being in his Kitsune human form all night, or if he can feel just how well used my body is this morning. I briefly wonder if he’s jealous that Ezra was able to do that to me, and not him.

Not the time, Rosalind Juliet.

Ezra can’t hide the smug, self-satisfied smirk on his lips as he watches me drop my bag by the front door and then hobble over to the coffeemaker. “It’s still fucking dark out,” I grumble to no one in particular. “Why are we leaving when it’s still dark?”

Hardin presses a kiss to my temple, his ringed hand sliding down the back of my head. “We want to spend as much time at The Library as we can.” At least he sounds apologetic.

“You can sleep in the car, Sweeney,” Fielder sounds less so. In fact, he sounds downright grumpy. Well, grumpier than normal.

I glare over at him. “What’s your problem?”

He glares right back at me. “You’re acting like you’re the only one who didn’t get enough sleep last night, but the rest of us aren’t in better shape. Your activities kept us up, too.”

Ezra’s smirk grows while my face flushes the brightest shade of red ever, I’m sure.

Hardin chuckles and pulls my back against his chest, his chin resting on my shoulder. “I haven’t fucked my hand that many times in a single night since I was thirteen and I was curious how many times I could come,” he murmurs into my neck.

My flush spreads through my entire body, but I refuse to be embarrassed. “So you're pissed because I had sex with Ezra all night?”

Fielder’s jaw ticks and then he strides right up to me, one big hand cupping my face, his chest pressed to mine until I’m pinned between him and Hardin. “I’m jealous as hell that he had you as many times as he did, Sweeney, when the only thing I’ve had is you grinding that sweet pussy on my cock through layers of fabric.” His thumb brushes along my lower lip, and Hardin presses a kiss to my neck, making me moan. “I haven’t even felt how wet you get with arousal. I fucking want that. So forgive me if I’m a little grumpy this morning.” He replaces his thumb with his mouth, kissing me long and deep and completely dominating me.

I’d thought after the sex fest last night I wouldn’t be able to get horny again for at least a week, but apparently that is not remotely the case. Because at this moment I want Fielder to pull down my jeans, toss me on that gorgeous marble island and fuck me senseless.

“What’s going on here?” Cohen’s suggestive voice cuts through the tension. I blink. Fielder’s jaw tightens even further and then he steps back and away from me, while Hardin holds me more firmly against him, grinding his hard cock into my ass. “Oh, don’t stop on my account.” Cohen continues cheerfully. “I’d love to watch you fuck our girl. Need some visuals to go with all the audio from last night.”

“Oh, sweet baby kittens,” I mutter, pulling away from Hardin and turning back to my coffee only to find the ceramic mug gone, replaced with a stainless steel to-go mug, with a foil wrapped breakfast sandwich and a banana next to it.

I look over at Ezra, knowing without a doubt that he did that for me. “Thank you, Ez.”

The smile he gives me is radiant. “You’re welcome, Ro.”

Gideon stumbles in, looking grumpy and haggard. He glares at all of us, then makes a beeline for the coffeemaker. “I hate all of you,” he mutters.

Everyone chuckles, but I nod in agreement. “It’s too early.”

“I’m gonna go pack up the car,” Cohen says, heading to the front door.

Ezra sighs. “I’ll make sure he doesn’t get into trouble.” He presses a quick kiss to my lips before following the witch that they don’t trust out of the house.

Gideon is still grumbling by the coffeepot, so I slip over to him, running a hand down his back. “Are you okay?”

He turns his head to look at me, and his gray eyes soften. The frown falls from his lips. “I’m fine. I just hate early mornings.”

I roll my eyes and slip my arms around his waist, while his loop around my shoulders. “I’m aware you aren’t a morning person, Brightwater. But this seems like more…” I hesitate, and then continue on, because I refuse to be embarrassed by what Ezra and I did last night. “Is this because I was too loud? I’m sorry about that. I’ll try to be quieter int he future.”

“Don’t you fucking dare,” Hardin protests from nearby.

At the same time, Fielder says, “that’s not necessary.”
