Well, I didn’t know what I wanted.

But I had promised a flight, so that’s what I was going to do.

My gaze followed Calian’s hands to the waistband of his pants, and tracked them as he stripped the clothing off.

Holy hell.

The man was fucking ginormous.

I tried not to stare at his monstrous dick, but totally failed.

When he started changing forms, his intense gaze burning into my fucking soul, my gaze followed him.

Something about the way his body morphed and grew and changed was sort of beautiful.

The curve of his huge, smooth head.

The glittering expanse of his wings.

The stretch of his neck as he raised it, his chin lifting.

He was preening for me, I realized, and barely bit back a grin.

This whole damned world was something else altogether.

“I haven’t really seen any other dragons,” I remarked, stepping up closer to him. His body tensed as I reached a hand toward his body, and I looked up at him, frowning.

His head turned and lowered toward me, giving me permission to touch him, so I carefully lifted it and pressed it to his scales.

They were insanely smooth, and much warmer than I expected.

“You’re amazing,” I admitted to him, slowly moving my hand over his head. His eyes closed, and he blew a puff of hot air toward me.

A laugh escaped me, and I pulled my hand away.

He stepped back just a little, and then lowered himself to the ground. His head dropped to the dirt, and he gave me an expectant look.

Another laugh almost escaped me.

He was kind of adorable.

Not that I was into adorable—or him.

I wasn’t sure how to climb onto a dragon, so I eyed him.

He puffed a little smoke toward me and then wiggled closer.

Fighting another grin, I reached an arm up to his gigantic neck and tried to throw a leg upward. When I moved, he rolled sideways to meet me.

A slightly-terrifying moment later, I was settled on his back with my face snuggled up against his warm, smooth neck.

The thrill of it had my chest clenching, my heartbeat thudding loudly. That magic inside me seemed to be thrumming faster, like it had been earlier when I shifted.

Calian tilted his head back, stretching his neck out and letting loose a thick jet of fire.

Gray flames danced down his neck, reaching toward me.

Despite my instinct to move away from them, to slide off of him or find a way down, I reached toward him.
