I immediately start heaving. The room is spinning around me while my stomach tries to empty its contents, but nothing comes out.

A hand presses against my back, moving in soothing circles.

“Shh, it’s okay. We aren’t moving anymore. Just breathe,” Someone says next to my ear.

I try to take their advice, but it feels like my entire nervous system is fried. I’m not even throwing anything up; I just can’t calm down.

Ryan saw me. It’s so clear he knew I was there, but that can’t be possible. We were supposed to be projections. Something went wrong. Something. Went. Wrong.

“She’s freaking out. Calm her down, Griffyn,” Another voice says.

Griffyn kneels down in front of me, pressing his freezing cold hands to either side of my face. It immediately registers as wrong since he’s always burning hot. I almost pull away from the sensation when a soothing energy runs through me.

“Relax. Just listen to my voice.”

It’s hypnotizing. Soothing energy runs through my veins like a balm to my soul, and I can’t focus on anything but Griffyn. How perfect he is. His incredible body. Shiny black hair.

“What are you doing to her?” Aly demands.

“He’s an incubus, and his pheromones can calm her down. He’ll stop before it goes too far,” Felix explains, but I barely notice.

All I can think about is my incubus. His perfect, large cock and the nub at the base that makes me feel incredible.

The hands leave my face, and I whimper, chasing after them.

“Anna, it’s okay. It’ll clear in a minute,” Felix says while wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

It’s not Griffyn, but it’s still pleasant. Fingers inside me would be better.

I’m about to ask for just that when I open my eyes and remember that there are people here, including my best friend and her mate.

That’s like a bucket of cold water on my lust.

I know I can’t look at Griffyn without blushing and embarrassing myself so I just squeeze his knee and mutter, “Thanks.”

“Anytime. You just needed help calming down.”

I stand up with some help from Felix. I don’t want to lose contact, so I lean against him a little, and he welcomes me into his arms. It’s comforting when he nuzzles my cheek.

Aly’s eyes widen at the action, but she doesn’t comment.

“Ryan saw me,” I confess. “How is that possible?”

Nic’s jaw drops down in shock. “It’s not. You’re mistaken.”

“She’s not. He looked right at her and said, ‘Who do we have here?’” Blaze says. He confirmed what I experienced, but I was hoping I made it up and the others would say nothing happened.

Felix pulls me tighter against his body, and I realize I’m shaking. My hands are trembling.

“What does this mean?” I ask. My voice cracks.

“I have no idea,” Nic responds.

“How are we going to find his home in St. James? That is our next move, right?” I ask as soon as I get back to the house with the four guys.

“I’m hoping we can scent him. A vampire has a distinct scent,” Blaze answers.
