"Yes, I can believe that," she murmured. "Do you dream much, Lone Wolf?" she asked watching his face.

"Sometimes… "

"I never dreamed much before I came here. Your people have been so good to me, so accepting. I never expected such acceptance. I never have learned so much about people and how to do things before."

"This is our earth; The Great Spirit wants us to love it and appreciate it. We must love it, nourish it and take care of it. Now, tell me what you see when you stare out at it the land… Do you see it as different than before?"

He enfolded her in his arms and smiled against her cheek. She closed her eyes, enjoying being in his arms.

Slowly she opened her eyes and looked at the prairie. "I see a beautiful land, that was given us to take care of. A land where your people will live in peace and love. A land that has beauty if you look deep enough. The sun turns the land different colors throughout the day. The rain cleans the earth and makes it fresh again, the wind is like a ghost that sweeps through the land."

He kissed her cheek. "You learn well."

"I have a good teacher." She smiled hugging his arms around her.

"Will you… still care for me if I cannot have children?" She asked turning in his arms. Her brow raised in question.

He held her by the arms now, staring into her eyes. "I will care for you forever, whether we have ten children or none. We will be as one Hannah, not two. Not separate but together."

"I could not give Liam any." Her admission was full of worry and concern.

"If it is to be, we will have them. If not, it makes no difference. The creator has a plan for us all."

She shook her head in amazement. "You wouldn't marry an Indian woman that could…?"

He saw the concern in her face and wished to wipe it away. He turned her to look her in the eye. "I will take but one wife, Hannah."

"Me?" she smiled.

"You," he smiled back.

"Why?" She shook her head in wonder. "I was not a good wife to Liam… I fear I will not be a good wife to you!"

"You are nebii'o'oo. You are my vision. And you will be my wife… by your own choice… I have dreamed of the day you would say yes to me, and now that you have, I will never let you go. You see, when there is love in a marriage, it is good. It makes the marriage good. When there is none, there is no marriage."

She nodded, "Yes," her voice softened, and her eyes sparkled at him, "I will be your wife, by my own choice… "

She looked up in the sky once more.

"Will you offer horses for me?" She challenged.

"You have no one for me to offer them to." He told her sadly.

She nodded again, thinking about that. "I am glad you will not offer them."

"Why?" He questioned turning her back to stare into her golden eyes.

"As Liam offered them and our marriage was cold, and I felt as though I had already died in my heart. I never thought there would be someone for me. I do not wish for you to offer horses, only your love."

"Will you not go back to the white world, ever?"

"No, why would I? The white world didn't offer much for me. I will make my home where you are. If your people will accept me as your wife, then I will accept them as my people. I will work alongside them, I will heal what I can, I will love them as they love me."

His expression lightened. "Promise?"

"Yes, I promise. You bring me much happiness. More than I ever thought I would receive." She laughed and started running. He chased her and caught her pulling her down to the soft earth with him. Laying on top of her their smiles faded as he bent to kiss her once more.

Every time he kissed her she felt so many sensations. It left her so breathless. She wanted to be one with this man now, as her heart was so full of love, but she knew she had to be patient. It was hard, being patient when he kissed her like he did. She never realized the pleasure of kissing until Lone Wolf kissed her. For she now knew he kissed her with his heart, that made the difference.
