“Motherfucker,” I bark, pure, unfiltered hatred dripping from every syllable.
“What?”
“Starling has her.” My voice barely sounds like my own as I growl those words.
“Starling has who?” Theo asks as Elliot’s face hardens in anger.
“Olivia.”
“Oh fuck.”
“Exactly. We need to find Oak now,” I spit, taking off running through the trees.
With only the moonlight filtering through, we can’t see all that much, but something tells me we’ll hear them first.
And only a minute later, I discover that I’m right.
“Oh fuck, yeah. Oakley. You’re a fucking king,” some girl cries out. “Yes. Yes. Right there. Fuck yes. Your cock is everything. Give it to me.”
“Jesus,” Theo grunts.
If this were any other time, her over-the-top praise might amuse me. But right now, all I feel is panic.
Blinding fucking panic.
My heart races and my hands tremble as I pick up speed and head in the direction of the chanting. The second we burst through the undergrowth, I wrap my hand around Oak’s arm, dragging him away from the tree and the girl he’s fucking against it.

“Oakley,” she cries as I drag him off her.
“Whitfield, what the fuck are—”
“Olivia,” I pant as he tucks his still hard cock away. “Starling has her.”
He stills at those words, and he doesn’t react for a good twenty seconds as his brain tries to catch up with the fact that he’s no longer about to blow his load into whoever the girl is and instead is about to go and cause Dale Starling some serious fucking pain.
“How?” he barks. “Where is she?” He looks between the three of us with a mixture of hope and despair warring in his eyes.
He wants us to say we’re joking, but deep down, he knows we’re not.
“Someone better start fucking talking,” he demands, his panic beginning to set in.
“We don’t know anything yet.”
“Then how do you—”
I lift my phone for him to see.
“We got it too,” Elliot confirms. “Just came through.”
“Shit, he texted it to everyone?” I ask.
Makes sense I guess, since how else would he know that Liv is… whatever she is to me?
