“Yes.” I jump up, pecking him on the lips. “It was stressful but so much fun to watch. You’re amazing, Camden.”

He grabs me around the waist, pulling me to him. “Come home with me?” he whispers against my neck as he nuzzles his face.

My body feels like it’s on fire at his question. I’m ready. I know I’m ready. I trust Camden, with my heart, my mind, and my body. He has shown me on more than one occasion that he is deserving of my trust, and I know going home with him right now means more than just going there to hang out.

Pulling him back with my hands in his hair, I bring him far enough away so I can look into his eyes. So he knows the meaning behind my answer. “Yes,” I tell him.

His eyes widen in understanding. He leans forward and kisses every inch of my face before landing on my lips.

This is it. I’m willingly giving myself to a man I am falling hopelessly in love with. A man I get to choose to give myself to.

BLAIRE

The drive to Camden’s house is a blur. I’m nervous but excited. Worried it will hurt, but also happy to feel closer to this beautiful man beside me. He hasn’t stopped touching me since coming out of the locker room. His hand roams from my thigh to my knee, and currently his fingers are tangled with mine and I am rubbing his forearm with my right hand.

Neither of us has said a word since walking away from our friends. I told Emree I was going to stay the night with Camden, and she gave me a knowing look. She said she and Conrad were going to our place, and she would text me in the morning, demanding details of everything.

When we pull into his driveway, the nerves resurface and my palms begin to sweat. Camden senses my hesitation and cups my face.

“Hey,” he says softly. “I’ve always told you we’re going at your pace. That will never change.”

I’ve lost count of how many times he has told me this and I feel reassured. “I know,” I whisper to him, turning his hand and kissing his palm.

As we head inside, I notice how dark and quiet the house is without the rest of the guys here. Levi, Jules, Mateo, and Maddox went out to Whiskey Joe’s with their other teammates to celebrate the win.

He slowly opens his bedroom door and I shiver, whether from my half-dried clothes or the anticipation of getting naked with Camden.

“Do you want to shower or something?” he asks me, still standing at the entrance of his room. He’s trying to make me more comfortable, and I love him for that.

I nod and he goes over to his drawer to grab the usual T-shirt and his boxers. When he passes by his closet, he snags a fresh towel for me.

“I’m going to take a quick shower in Maddox’s bathroom since we got rained on.” He kisses me on the forehead after grabbing his own towel and a pair of sleep pants.

Once in the safety of the bathroom, I take a few deep breaths and try to calm my nerves. The hot water cascading down my naked body brings some relief, but then I remember Thursday night when Camden comforted me in here after what happened at work.

He saw me naked. He saw me naked and was a complete gentleman, focusing more on comforting me than taking advantage of my lack of clothing.

I’m getting too much in my head. I trust Camden and know he will cherish and love my body the entire time. After rinsing the conditioner out of my hair and making sure all the soap is off my body, I turn the water off and grab for my towel.

Brushing my teeth with the toothbrush Camden got for me, I stare at the clothes sitting on the counter. I want to give Camden a clear sign that I’m ready. That I want us to take that next step. That I’m not scared anymore.

After rinsing my mouth out, I tighten the towel around my chest and open the bathroom door, leaving the T-shirt and boxers behind.

When I enter his room, he is sitting against the headboard with his phone in his hand. One arm is tossed back behind his head, and I can’t help but gawk at his tan chest and arms on display for me. When he looks up at me in the doorway in nothing but a towel, he drops his phone to the nightstand beside him and leans forward. His eyes darken and his mouth opens just slightly.

I close the door behind me, locking it for good measure, and approach him. My movements are slower, and he keeps his eyes connected to mine with every step, studying me. When I’m standing right in front of him, he doesn’t reach for me. His hands clench beside him like he is restraining himself from touching me. I run my fingers through his wet hair, taking in his beautiful face and the clear lust in his darkened green eyes. The way he is looking at me is the way a man looks at a woman he wants and that gives me the confidence to drop the towel.

It lands in a pool at my feet and Camden’s eyes don’t stray from the hold I have on them. His nostrils flare. My grip on his hair tightens and I bring him forward to kiss me. He comes to me eagerly, and one of his hands grips my waist, not wandering. His naked chest is hot against mine and I relish in the feeling of him against me.

With the grip on my waist, Camden pulls me forward until there is nowhere else to go but on his lap. I’m straddling him, feeling very exposed given that I’m completely nude and he still has sleep pants on. He turns me so I’m lying flat on my back, with my head hitting the pillow, and he is hovering above me. He pulls back, staring into my eyes, and I run my hand down the side of his beautiful face.

“I think…I think I’m falling in love with you,” I tell him.

He smiles down at me. “I don’t think I’m falling in love with you, Gray Eyes. Pretty sure I damn near fell face-first the moment I met you.”

I can’t help but smile at his words and pull him down for a searing kiss. He greedily claims my lips and amplifies the kiss. My head goes foggy as our tongues mingle together and I have to pull back to catch my breath. That doesn’t stop Camden. His lips descend down my neck, sucking lightly at the exposed skin, then move lower until he’s right at my chest, giving my breast attention.
