My eyes meet his, a feeling immeasurable pierces my soul. It fills me like the rushing tide coursing through my body and I tremble.
“Kate, baby, you’re shaking. Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”
I shake my head. “I’ve never loved anyone the way I love you. You’re my soulmate.” Cole caresses my face. “You are my everything, you’re my missing half. I’m complete with you. Love is an insufficient word for how I feel about you.”
CHAPTER NINETEEN
I wake up to Cole, kissing tenderly down my back. “Cookie, it’s time to wake up.”
My body’s stiff and sore. “I just can’t workout this morning.” I pull the pillow over my head, but it disappears just as quick.
“Baby, it’s almost ten o’clock in the morning.” I peer up at Cole, sure he’s dressed and leaving for work. But he isn’t, he’s still naked same as me.
“I thought you had meetings today?”
Cole frowns. “Unfortunately, I do, but not for another hour.”
I stretch. “Can I go shopping?”
“Baby, you can do whatever you want. You just have to take security with you.”
“Okay then, I’m requesting security.”
“Come on, wee can leave at the same time, but that means you’re going to have to come shower with me.” Cole yanks my sheet off, tickling my sides.
“Okay,” I gasp, “I’m up, I’m up.”
Cole climbs off the bed, then hitches me over his shoulder. Swatting me playfully on my butt as we go. He turns the shower on and adjusts the temperature. I try to step in, but he turns me around, wrapping his arms around me, pressing our naked frames together. “I love you Cookie,” he says, kissing me lightly over and over on the mouth.
“I love you too.”
Cole walks me backwards into the shower until the steamy water is covering us. The warm water feels good and I relax into Cole, kissing his chest. “I love getting naked with you.” My hands roam over his wet chest.
Cole cups my ass, hauling me up. I wrap my legs around his hips.
He nips my earlobe. “I love being naked with you too, baby. Especially in the shower. I want another rule that we shower together every morning.”
I put on my bra and panties and then find a skirt and blouse to wear, but I’m so damn tired I lay down on the bed. I’m never going to have to workout again if Cole and I keep up this pace. Besides, I’d much rather make love to Cole than try kickboxing again.
“Kate, what’s wrong?”
I roll over on the bed and watch Cole come out of the closet; his shirt’s unbuttoned and he has a tie hanging around his neck.
“I’m tired,” I whine, closing my eyes. Cole sits down next to me, skimming his hand along my backside until it rests on my behind. “You left teeth marks in my ass,” I say, my head in the pillow.
“Just another mark that you’re mine.” Cole runs his fingers along the marks. I sit up and crawl over Cole, so I’m straddling him, pushing him down on the bed. I interlace our fingers, raising our entwined hands above Cole’s head. “I thought you were tired.”
I give him a mischievous smile, raising an eyebrow. I release his hands and he tries to grab me. “Oh no, Mr. Holt, leave your hands there.” I place them back above his head. I open his shirt more and run my fingers lightly down his chest. I circle his pecs and move my fingers between his defined muscles.
“Your bruise is almost gone.” I lean down, kissing the vanishing purple hues, then flick my tongue over his rigid nipple.
“Cookie, if you’re not careful, you won’t be able to get out of this bed. You’ll be so tired.” I look up at Cole from my position over his pec, and kiss the underside of it. I know I’m going to have to be fast, if I’m going to do this. I graze my teeth, then let my lips form an O. I slightly bite his skin, sucking hard at the same time. Cole’s hands wrap around my back. I giggle as he rolls us so he’s on top.
“You little devil,” He looks down at his chest, a dark red spot just below his left pec is forming nicely.
I try to put on my best stern look. “You deserve it. I’m collecting them. You need at least one.” But a smile breaks out across my face.
Cole grabs my hands, pinning them above my head. He puts his head in the crook of my neck, making gnawing noises.
