A pensive expression drifted over Rex’s features. “Whatever’s going on between them, he won’t tell me.”

Digger grimaced. “Fuck.” He turned his focus on me, and there was a softness to his eyes, a warmth, a need. Hope and desire and excitement—they were all, somehow, wrapped into one tender look. I felt the mirror of those emotions in my being. “Let’s get you out of here, MC.”

“She’s got the key.” Rex pointed at him. “Get her used to riding. She likes the wind in her hair.”

My cheeks blushed, but Digger hooted. “You going poetical on me, Prez?”

Rex, unashamed, smirked. “I’m just good at listening to women. Unlike some asswipes in my club. Now, fuck off. I got shit to do.”

Digger, still chuckling, grabbed my hand and tugged me to my feet. That was when I saw he had a satchel in his hand—the stuff I’d left behind before our epic journey had begun.

I snagged it and then pulled out my phone. “What’s your email so I can forward you the URL of the blog where I found the clubhouse’s address, Rex?”

The Prez wafted a hand. “Maverick’s deleted it already.”

“Maverick?” I inquired.

“Resident hacker.”

“Neat.”

Digger plucked my satchel from my grasp as if it were too much for me to carry while informing Rex, “Aidan O’Donnelly said he’d be in touch, by the way.”

The Prez shot me, not my husband, a calm look then opened the lid on his laptop. “I’ll believe it when pigs fly over West Orange.”
