“I know, that’s what I paid for.”

Mason grumbled behind me, and I saw the woman check him out even further going so far as to even lick her lips.

“Be aware, that there is an adjoining door between you,” she smiled.

It was after midnight, and I was annoyed. “Thank you.”

Mason said something in horrible shaky Italian to the woman and I rolled my eyes before jamming the key card into his chest.

We rode the elevator up, and then quietly split into our separate neighboring rooms. Pushing the door open to my room, I hit the lights and found that same sea foam green had followed me to my room but the color wasn’t so bad in here. There appeared to be less of it as it was just the hotel bed linens that were decorated in the colors. A yawn quietly escaped my lips as I closed the door behind me and set my luggage to the side. It had been a whirlwind of a few days and I needed sleep. Surprisingly, I found myself back on my laptop at the room’s desk going over files that had been sent my way while I was in flight. Forty five minutes in, I decided the room felt a little stuffy and I needed to stretch.

Going over to the hotel window, I opened it and looked out into the city. Rome was definitely alive this time of night and it reminded me a little of the Seattle club scene on occasion when Rain invited me out. The Hyperion was located in the heart of downtown Rome.

Leaning against the window, I watched as a couple made out below. Their kisses were made of greed, and I could hear him speaking in Italian, his words hungry and raw. The man was just about to unzip his pants when I heard a soft peck at the adjoining door.

I waited for a moment before tiptoeing over.

“Yes,” I whispered wondering if I hadn’t just heard something.

“I can’t sleep,” Mason’s voice whispered back.

My fingers inched up and I found myself unlocking the door, and slightly parting it.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I’m just wired….we slept for a long time on the jet. I never usually do.”

I nodded. “Well, I was just about to watch a peep show.”

“Huh?”

I jerked my thumb over my shoulder and Mason hurried in. By the time we got back over to the window the couple was ferociously kissing. In between my legs, I felt myself getting tingly. It was wrong and I knew we shouldn’t have been watching them. Mason was behind me, his breath becoming labored.

“Holy shit,” I whispered.

“He’s going to fuck her against that wall, Darlin…”

“I see,” I started to fan myself.

“Is this what you like?”

I snapped out of it. “Huh?”

“Watching others…is this what gets you off?”

I could feel the heat rolling off Mason’s body from behind me. There was no way I could turn and look at him. The couple below continued to be enthralled by what they were doing, so unafraid of anyone watching them.

Mason made a move then. Slowly, he dragged his hands up my arm leaving a trail of electricity in his wake.

“Answer me, Nora. Does this get you off, Darlin?”

I felt it then. He was rock hard and pushing slightly into my back. I needed to escape from him and get out of this room. The prince of darkness was three steps away from seducing me and I might let him.

Have fun….

Rain’s words were hanging in the air. My own sister thought I was too uptight. Mason was kind of her type though. She loved chaos. She’d dated at guy who had two women pregnant at the same time who wanted to propose to her.

A chill ran the length of my spine and I finally stepped away.
