She takes in the cherry red Yamaha motorcycle. “For the record, I picked this color before I ever met you.”

“Maybe it was a subconscious decision.”

Then this chick has the nerve to look at me and wink.Wink! My dick twitches in response and I struggle to find words.

I hold out a matching helmet to her and say, “Climb on.”

Now all I can see is her climbing on my dick, her red hair spilling over creamy skin.

I start counting backwards from one-hundred before things head in a dangerous direction.

She fits the helmet over her vibrant hair and climbs on behind me.

“Did you really have to park on the sidewalk?”

I shrug before putting my own helmet on. “I thought I might have to chase you down.”

She laughs and the sound makes me smile.

“Where are we going?”

“No idea,” I answer honestly. “You’re the one who lives here, not me.”

She laughs again. “You invite me out and don’t even know where we’re going?”

“I like to live dangerously,” I tell her, kick-starting the bike.

I race off the sidewalk and speed through the lot—not too fast, but enough I feel her arms wrap tightly around my torso. Her breasts push into my back and as fun as I thought this would be, I kind of wish now I’d borrowed a car from one of the guys.

I know I can’t drive far, since she has to be back for class, but heading downtown is dangerous too in case we run into her father. This isn’t a date, far from it, but he won’t know and will jump to conclusions.

Driving the bike in the opposite direction I search for a place for us to grab lunch. I should’ve thought this out more, but as per usual, I didn’t.

Mia squeezes tight, not in fear, but excitement and selfishly I hope because she wants to be closer to me.

I spot a sign for a farmer’s market and turn onto the road. It isn’t long until we come to the small market, surrounded by an apple orchard.

The bike bumps into the lot, and I park. Mia eases off the bike, removes the helmet and shakes out her long hair. I’m glad she can’t see me through the dark screen of the helmet because I’m fucking mesmerized by her. I swallow thickly before pulling off my helmet and attaching it to the bike. I do the same with hers before we fall into step side by side and into the market. We walk around the small store, finding they have a café. We both order a hotdog with chips and wait for our order. Once we have our food in hand, we skip the tables and head outside to eat under the shade of one of the gnarled trees.

“For not having a plan, you did pretty well,” she admits, crossing her legs.

“I find things always work out in the end if given enough time.” I shrug.

“Is that so, Yoda?” Her eyes shine with barely contained laughter.

“Yeah, it is.” I playfully pinch her side and she swats my hand away.

I’ve never experienced this ease with a woman before.

I open the container holding my hotdog. Mia’s already biting into hers. She doesn’t hesitate.

“This is so good. I was starving.”

“Academia makes me hungry too. I spent all of high school starving to death.”

She laughs, covering her mouth. “I’m pretty sure all teenage boys are starving twenty-four-seven. My brother eats enough for five people. It’s gross.”

“True,” I agree, tipping my head in her direction.
