“How good?” I pry.

She presses her lips together to hold back her laughter as Fox takes his second turn, mumbling under his breath.

“I was the only girl on the golf team in high school.”

“You golf, do jiu-jitsu,” I tick off on my fingers, “anything else I should know about you?”

“If I’m angry throw Reese’s cups at me and walk away slowly.”

“Noted.”

Fox throws his club down and storms back to the couch, picking up his beer.

“He’s a sore loser,” I tell Mia.

“I can tell,” she says in an amused tone.

I take my turn, doing better than last time, but it’s clear this game is between Mia and Fox.

I sit back down and grab a beer. Appetizers are brought out and I dig into those too. Food, alcohol, and the prettiest girl at my side almost makes up for not being good at this.

Luckily, I’m highly talented when it comes to important things.

Kira takes her turn and this time Rush helps her—and by helps her, I mean he makes sure to press his crotch into her ass and feel her up.

Beside me Mia shakes her head and mutters, “Those two are perfect for each other.” She takes a sip of beer and glances at me. “They’re two of a kind.”

“Really?” I ask.

“Rush is a total manwhore and Kira is a self-proclaimed womanwhore. Honestly this is the longest I’ve ever seen her use the same guy. He must be pretty great in bed.”

“Not as good as me,” I mutter.

She raises a brow, stifling a laugh. “I didn’t know you went both ways.”

“Not what I meant,” I grumble.

She laughs. “That’s how it sounded.”

“You know what I meant,” I snap.

“I do, but torturing you is way too much fun.”

“You’re so mean to me,” I tease. “I’m wounded. Truly.”

“Get used to it.”

I could gettooused to it and that’s what scares the shit out of me. I could get used to her teasing, to the feel of her hand in mine, to waking up to her every day. I can’t wrap my head around what it is about her that has me hooked, but I think it’s not just one big thing but a million little ones.

CHAPTER19

MIA

“Ican’t believe my dad conned you guys into helping,” I hiss to Hollis as we carry boxes up the steps to my new apartment.

It’s taken me three weeks to get everything I need and be ready to move in.

In that time, I’ve spent more time with Hollis in his hotel suite than I’d care to admit. But he makes my toes curl and I find myself craving him more and more.
