I'll call her later.
As soon as I landed, Eric and Olivia were waiting. All through the flight I was anxious about this mystery. Nothing came to mind. We ran a well-oiled ship.
"What happened?" I asked, not bothering myself with pleasantries.
"There's a persistent bug in the game," Olivia answered.
"Which game?"
"BlipBubble." She replied.
My signature game. Our best seller. Our multi-million-dollar best seller.
"That's impossible. The detection mechanism would have notified us immediately," I said defensively.
"It did, actually, but it didn’t auto-repair, and the team couldn’t figure it out," Eric said. He seemed a bit ashamed and unable to look me in the eye. I assumed it was due to the fact that he had given Lauren my location, and was remorseful about it.
"When was this?" I asked, taking the tablet from Olivia to see for myself what was wrong with my game.
"Ummm, almost a month now," Olivia said.
"A month!" I screamed. "Why am I just learning about this?"
Olivia looked at Eric and left it to him to explain. Eric still wouldn't look at me. I turned my attention to him, as it seemed he was the reason for the delay in the news reaching me.
"You have the new game to worry about. We have a team, you know, for this type of incident. It’s just …" Eric fumbled.
"Take me to the office. Now." I demanded.
I didn't want to think of how many users had uninstalled the game because of the bug. There was a lot I needed to say to Eric.
Oh, you bet Iwillspeak my mindto you, Eric!
Not now, man. Deal with this first.
Chapter 22

I would be if I were told I was going to be a father.
The conversation I heard the previous day had to be a thunderclap to him.
If it was a shock to me, it had to hit him harder.
But it seemed like something else was wrong. I was curious, but I wasn't going to talk to him just because he looked sad. I watched him leave, presumably for his walk or a run. I wanted to call out to him, and give him a chance to explain, but I knew I would only be getting lies—or at best some vague answers—in return.
I hated that I wasn't talking to him, but it was for the best. I needed to focus on me. If he belonged to someone else, he never mentioned it to me.
I don't need to feel guilty, since I thought the man was free to be with who he wanted.
But face it—youarejealous.
The last thing I wanted was to take someone else's man. I wasn't that type of woman, and I wasn’t about to forget the fact that some other woman was carrying his child.
This whole affair is just an affair. I have to wrap my head around this. I broke my own “guests are off-limits” rule. And this is my punishment.
