“Oh,” she breathed, and he must’ve taken that as an invitation to continue, because that’s exactly what he did.

Another buck had her body responding, the wetness between her legs building. She broke away from their kiss and looked at him with pleading eyes. “Again. Do thatagain.” She was lost to her arousal again, lost tohimagain, excitement rising inside her.

For a moment, she believed she saw stars in his eyes.

Then, his lips were on hers again, his tongue slipping past her teeth, his hips grinding against her. Again, and again, and again.

When she moaned against his mouth, begging for more, she realized he wasn’t the only one with a beast inside him clawing to get free. She had a beast of her own. A beast that took over her body every time she wanted Antonio like she did now.

Reason did not matter, only that she had him and he had her. That was all she cared about, all she wanted.

“More,Antonio,” she begged, savoring the feeling of his shaft grinding against her, fabric rubbing against fabric. Tension building inside her, reaching its peak…

“Fuck, Fia,” he growled into her mouth as she squirmed against him.

But then, his bucking stopped, the aggression in his kiss fading until he was giving her nothing but soft, tender kisses.

When he took a step back and released her, she wobbled on her feet, nearly falling over. Still overwhelmed by their fervent kiss, her legs remained weak.

He sprung forward, grabbing her before she fell and holding her upright, seeming to be careful not to release her again.

His expression was pained, his eyes wrought with worry as they scanned her body, looking for any signs that she may have been hurt.

But she wasn’t hurt. Far from it.

“I’m fine,” she assured him as she worked to bring the strength back into her legs and steady herself. When he continued to hold her she assured him once more, “I’m fine, really.”

He hesitated a moment, but eventually let go, rubbing his palm over his face with much more force than necessary. “Gods, the moon hasn’t even risen yet and I already can’t control myself.” He looked up to the sky. It was a mixture of pinks and purples, the stars threatening to break through daylights’ impenetrable shield. “How am I going to do this?”

It took a lot to stop herself from rolling her eyes. “By just doing it. I really feel like you’re overreacting about all this.” She flippantly waved a hand in the air, hoping it would show him how little she was worried about this night.

He gave her a deadened stare. “You can hardly stand and I haven’t taken off my fucking pants yet. Shit, all I did was kiss you. How am I supposed to be gentle when I take you? I need to be gentle. At least…” His voice trailed, his following words unspoken but heard,At least the first time.

The first time. When he took her virginity.

“You didn’t hurt me.” She pressed her hand against his cheek, a promise that she was fine. “I couldn’t stand because I was on the verge of, um… Well, you know.”

“Oh.” His eyes widened. He didn’t expect to hear that. Then, a spark lit his eyes, a wild and hungry fire growing beneath its irises.

“And I trust you, but please trust yourself too.” She knew he wouldn’t hurt her when it came down to it. He needed to know that too.

He reached for her wrist, pressing a kiss below the hand that cupped his cheek. “Alright,” he said, but she could see the conflict he was internally struggling with. If he was trying to hide it, he wasn’t doing a good job at it.

“I’m not going anywhere.”

“I know.” He brought her hand down and tugged her further along the path. “Now let’s see this place you’re so excited to show me.”

They reached the abrupt ends of the cliffs a minute later, and her cove stretched out before them.

But she wasn’t looking at the cove. No, she was looking at him when they came to a stop. “Behold,” she outstretched her arm, directing him to look at what she believed to be the most marvelous sight in the world.

No, that’s a lie, she thought as she took in his features. The way his skin creased when his mouth broke into a grin, the way his eyes lit up at the sight of her cove, glowing with the same excitement as hers.

No. The cove wasn’t the most marvelous sight in the world. This stunning man in front of her was.

And he too, just like the cove, was all hers.
