“Please don’t do that.”

His orange cat came around a corner, saw me, and then arched his back.

“Hi little guy.”

The cat hissed, and went running off into another room.

“Fine, fuck you too,” I muttered.

Owen laughed hard. “That’s what you get for hacking my condo and taunting me through the speakers. Tux remembers. And speaking of that, I would take it as a gesture of good faith if youdidn’thack my condo again.”

I grinned at him. “No promises.”

We were kissing before we made it to the bedroom, and bumped and stumbled into walls along the way while our lips were locked together hungrily. When we finally fell onto the bed, Owen took his time undressing me. This wasn’t anything like the rough, hurried, desperatesex from the restaurant. He kissed his way down between my legs, slow and tender, and I arched my back and surrendered to the motion of his tongue.

I could taste myself on his lips when he was done and slid on top of me, parting my legs with his thighs and grinding against me for a while. Teasing it out. When he finally sank into me it made it all worth it, although he still took his time. Our bodies rocked together like gentle waves on a shore. It could have been ten minutes or it could have been an hour; I was lost in the intoxicating sensations of his warmth and hardness.

I didn’t know he had a softer side to him, I thought while we cuddled after. His fingers were in my hair, gently massaging my scalp in a way that was dangerously close to putting me to sleep.

Suddenly, the Home-AI chirped. “New package received.”

“Oh, a package was received all right,” I said.

Owen laughed heartily. “She means downstairs. In the delivery box.”

“I’mthe only box that should be receiving your deliveries!” I replied, savoring the cheesiness of the line. Owen groaned, but he was still laughing, too.

“Did you really pay Marina Sirtis fifty grand to do the voice acting for your Home-AI?” I asked.

Owen scoffed. “Fifty-five, actually. Her agent haggled over the length of the dictionary phrases. Can you believe that?”

“Wow,” I said with mock indignation. “Fifty grand is a totally normal amount to pay for a hobby, but fifty-five? Outrageous!”

He frowned down at me. “Are you making fun of me? I think you’re making fun of me.”

“No,” I said sarcastically. “Howeverdid you guess?”

Owen’s fingers shot out and tickled me under the armpits. I wriggled on top of him like a nude worm.

“Counselor,” I said to the ceiling, “can you say Amber Moltisanti?”

The reply came after a brief pause. “Yes I can. Amber Moltisanti.”

The last name sounded robotic and unnatural, like it was a hodgepodge of language sounds cobbled together by the AI. ButAmbercame out smooth.

I glanced at Owen. “You programmed her to know my name? Or a dictionary full of names?”

“Actually, I had plans for a code-based security alert system,” he replied. “Clear, amber, and crimson. Based on threat levels. Never got around to programming it, though.”

“That sounds really nerdy, and really paranoid,” I replied.

“Clearly not paranoid enough, since it would have come in handy when you hacked me!”

“I really enjoyed that.” I cleared my throat. “Counselor, does Owen have anything yummy in the freezer?”

“At present,” she replied, “the freezer contains: three bags of microwavable brown rice, two pounds of ground beef…”

“Frozen ground beef? You don’t have fresh delivered to you daily?” I snorted at Owen. “Some billionaire you are.”
