Tapping my earpiece again, I tell the others, “Leave that motherfucker for the end.”

“Roger that,” echoes in my ear.

“Man, you fucking stabbed me,” Tahir barks back.

“And?” Dutch roars, mean mugging Tahir. “Your ass lived. All you had to do was heal and move on, instead you dropped dime on me. You should’ve kept your funky ass wherever you were at and none of this would be happening. Now, them motherfuckers are on my neck and the only way I can see to get them off is if their star witness disappears for good. You better be glad the Feds had you hidden deep.”

Tahir then asks, “Speaking of that, how was it possible for you to make bail? You had enough charges on you to keep you in the County until the trial.”

Dutch loudly laughs. “Do you believe this motherfucker has the nerve to be asking me questions?” The others laugh along with him. “Fuck, I might as well tell you since you’re about to die anyway. I mean, who are you going to tell if you’re dead?”

Peeking through the small space between two boards covering the window, I look on as Dutch walks over to Tahir, then says, “If you got money you can afford to have friends in high places and one of mine is District Attorney Hollis. He kept me one step ahead of case they were building against me. The only thing he couldn’t get was where your ass was at.”

My head whips around to Balthazar. What a fucking coincidence? DA Hollis is going to be exposed to the world. We can always get another DA in our pocket.

I turn around and look through the space to see Dutch sucker punches Tahir. Tahir’s head whips to the right as blood and saliva drips from his mouth. The three other men along with KP, Rolo, and Slim seem to find the shit funny as they laugh. Fuck.

Tahir coughs, then spits to the floor. “If this is how I’m going out, then let me see my sisters one last time.”

Dutch shakes his hand, stepping back. “Bring them bitches in here. Might as well let them say their final goodbyes. I was planning on letting your sexy little sisters go, but I think I’ll keep them. They will forever hate you for the lives I’m about to give them.”

Slim and Rolo disappear around a corner on the right. When they return, Slim drags Deanna in with a rag tied around her mouth and her hands zipped tied behind her. Rolo brings Zoe in, and she’s bound the same way.

Dutch points to Deanna and Zoe, saying, “Here are your sisters. Ladies, do you have any final words for your brother?”

Slim pulls the strip around Deanna’s mouth down. “Don’t worry, Tahir. I know this is not the last time we’ll see each other.” I don’t know if it was fate, but her eyes catch mine through the space. She winks at me.

Seeing his sisters like that Tahir breaks down. He begins to cry, and they do too seeing their older brother in this state.

“Deanna, Zoe I just want the both of you to know that I did this for you. After today, I promise neither of you will have to go through this shit again.”

Dutch laughs, aiming his gun at Tahir. “They don’t even know half the shit they’re about to go through.”

I waste no time telling the others in my earpiece, “Now, now, now!”

Alistair runs up, using his body to knock the door off its hinges. The sound of the back door collapsing lets me know the others have gained entry as well.

Shots from behind drop Slim and Rolo. Dutch races over to Deanna and Zoe with his gun raised. The rest of his men have their guns out, looking dazed and confused.

“I think SWAT raided the wrong house, so if you would kindly be on your way,” Dutch says, moving the girls further in front of him.

“We’re not SWAT asshole,” I grate.

With her quick tongue, Deanna says, “I tried to warn you what would happen if you took us. Now, you have to deal with the repercussions.” At that moment she and Zoe hit the floor as bullets start to fly.

Dutch’s men didn’t stand a chance and we fill them with bullets from front to back. I made sure to take out the one who I thought said that crazy shit about Deanna and if it wasn’t him then I still felt vindicated as I gave each one the same number of bullets. With their bodies surrounding him, Dutch is left standing there with a lonely pistol in hand that is no match to the guns directed at him.

“Wait, wait, wait,” he shouts, taking his finger off the trigger, then lowering his gun. Dutch sits it on the floor, raising his hands in surrender as he drops to his knees.

Malichi goes over to Tahir, cutting off the ropes around his wrists. Tahir stands, taking the 9mm Malichi offers him.

Dutch pleads to Tahir, “Tahir, wait. I only did this so you would retract your statements. I was never going to do anything to you or your sisters.”

“And you never will,” Tahir vows before shooting Dutch in the head.

Deanna and Zoe show no emotion as his body falls back to the floor. This nightmare for their family was finally over.

Normally, we would set the entire place on fire, but I told my family, “Leave their bodies where they’re at. By the time the police find them, they’ll need to be identified by dental records. By then we will have enough proof keep them from suspecting Tahir of having any involvement.”
