Commotion catches my attention. The door opens and quickly slams. Kitten darts across the room. Two seconds later, Saint and Rook follow her in.

"Thanks for slamming the door on us, darling," Saint says softly. His eyes take in the room.

"You were being too slow," Kitten hisses in a whisper as she makes a break for Walker.

"Ohmigod," she whispers, ducking down and kissing the top of Bellamy's head. "Love, she's so beautiful."

She leans over, kissing Walker on his cheek, and heads over to the bed. Her face is red and blotchy. She doesn't let the railing stop her, just crawls right into my other side.

Dexter wakes up, yawning and blinking at the newcomers. Rook and Saint check out Bellamy. Kitten rests her head on my chest and stretches a hand over to squeeze Dex's shoulder.

"Yeah, but you've got to wash your hands first," Jude says to something I missed. He nods to the sink.

Saint bolts over to it…

That man swore he never wanted kids? He's so full of shit.

"Are you okay?" Kitten asks, starting to emit about a million soothing pheromones for whatever reason they work way better than Oakley's.

"I'm okay," I assure her. She snuggles into my side and bursts into tears.

"We were so far away, and you needed us," Kitten whimpers. "I'm so sorry, Love."

"It's fine. That's not on you," I tell her. "We survived. It wasn't nearly as awful as it could have been."

"We did a thing," Kitten whispers, cringing a little.

"Kitten," Dex hisses, shoving at her shoulder. His hand bumps my too-full breasts, and they ache. I'm going to have to feed the monster again soon.

"You did the thing, too," she whispers to Dex, pushing his hand away. "You might be mad at me; just remember I love you." She directs the last part at me.

I blink and my head whips from side to side, trying to see who's going to crack first.

"Okay," I say slowly. It's very hard to imagine being truly angry with Kitten about anything. Especially when she bursts into tears, hugging me even closer.

"Don't be angry, it's important," she whispers, nuzzling her cheek against mine.

Saint meanders closer, clutching Bellamy to his chest. He sits on the edge of the bed, and Dexter frowns.

"Someone speak?" I ask.

"I need you to move to Colorado," Kitten whispers. "I bought the house next to ours."

"Kitten," Dexter growls. "That was supposed to be our surprise. Issac and I were going to buy it."

"I'm sorry," she hisses. Her head pops up. "You guys were taking too long, and someone else made an offer." She sighs. "I made a better one."

"It's your push present," Saint says, gently rocking Bellamy. He smirks. "You did good, she's lovely."

I snort a laugh. "Push present?"

"Yeah, it's a gift for giving birth," Kitten says, like I don't understand the phrase. "You made a human, good job."

Dexter snorts. I blink at Kitten like an idiot.

"That's usually something small like a necklace," I say, shaking my head and trying to understand what the fuck is happening.

"Then you guys can pay me back," Kitten says, shrugging. "You don't have to. Honestly, I just need you guys close. Let's not make it into a thing."
