"You can unfuck my mind any time you'd like," Dex says to Walker. He saunters into the room, winking at Jude as he walks by.

Walker sputters a cough. He swallows thickly and his Adam's apple bobs as he steps back.

"Why do you fucking hate me?" Dex asks. The question is obviously directed at me. He crosses his tattoo-covered arms over his tattoo-covered chest. I swear the man doesn't own shirts.

I glare. "You're unreliable. You play games. You've got celebrity syndrome." I check them off on my fingers as I go. When I'm done, I leave just one. So he knows exactly how I feel about him.

"What the hell is that?" Dexter asks, his eyes bouncing between me and Walker. "Celebrity syndrome… is that a real thing?"

"Christ." I sigh. This guy kills me. "No one holds you accountable for your shitty behavior. People give you a free pass because you play guitar and look good in pictures. You don't live in the real world."

"I can't help the way I look," Dexter says, his voice filled with indignation.

"No, but you can stop being an egotistical dick who plays with people's emotions." I scowl.

"Enough," Walker growls. He steps between me and Dexter.

"This shit isn't going to help him," Walker says firmly. "Not yet. He would need therapy to start healing before he's ready to face his faults." Walker looks at me. "Which is at least one step above you, because you refuse to acknowledge you have any."

Dexter's mouth falls open as he nods in agreement.

"You really think you're going to be happy without an omega?" I ask Dexter. "Long term?"

Dex frowns. "This is fucked-up. Do you? It's pretty obvious the two of you are into Baby. Own up. Are you putting your own fears off onto me?"

"Oh, you can fuck right off with that bullshit misdirection," I say, taking a step toward him.

"No," Issac says, walking into the room. "That's one thing I can vouch for Dexter on. He's never been interested in an omega. Not like that. He wanted Kitten with us because it would settle Love's nerves. She has a fear of losing us to an omega, and Kittenneeded alphas. Saint and Dexter masterminded a plan to try to build themselves a pack."

"Yeah, that's convenient. Then you get to have both of them," I growl, eyes bouncing between the two men.

"Kitten is a friend," Dex says, crossing his arms over his chest. "You do what you have to, to help out a friend. Not saying sex is a chore, because it's quite fucking pleasurable. But I'll tell you this…" His eyes bounce between me and Walker. "I only fell in love with one of them."

"Exactly." Issac nods. "We have love for Kitten and Saint. They're part of the family. Loving someone is totally different than being in love. You feel me?"

He glances between me and Walker. We both nod our agreement, me a little more reluctantly than Jude.

Issac laughs. "This is actually perfect. The four of us need to have a team meeting."

"Team meeting?" Walker asks, his eyes huge. "Are you trying to fire us?"

"Hardly," Dexter snorts.

"Love is about to head out of state. Dexter and I won't be able to make the trip with her. We have a prior engagement. A show set for this weekend. We can't skip it." Issac sighs, shaking his head. "I assume you two will be going with her?"

"Where exactly is she going? And why?" I ask.

"I'll let her tell you about that," Issac says cryptically.

Walker and I share a look.

"Of course. We're ready and willing to be wherever Love needs us," Walker says.

"Shocker." Dex chuckles. "Just kidding. Totally saw that shit coming a mile away."

"Right." Issac laughs. "We've all been skirting around this since before you moved in, but we haven't had one talk with all of us in a while."

"You guys want to say something to us?" Dexter asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
