"Ihave to be in Nashville in two days," I say to Jude and Vince. They're both studying me by the time I finish my sentence.

"A gallery I've worked with in the past had someone back out last-minute. They've asked if I have any pieces I'd like to display. I'll only need to be at the gallery a few hours Friday night for the show."

Jude and Vince share confused looks.

"I'm pretty well-known for my art," I say, glancing away. "In certain circles anyway."

"What type of art?" Jude asks.

"Paintings," I say, taking a bite of my apple.

"No shit?" Vince asks, his eyebrows raised.

"Yup; then again, it's a very particular crowd who recognizes my work," I say, grinning at them. "So don't feel bad for not recognizing my star power. Also, I've taken a bit of a break during my pregnancy since I primarily work with oils."

"Well, shit," Vince chuckles. "Who knew? We're just surrounded by all types of talented people."

"Will you guys be traveling with me?" I ask. "Because I've got to book a flight."

"Yeah, our job is to keep an eye on you. If your guys need security they'll have to—" Riggs cuts off when I interrupt him.

"They'll be fine."

"All right, yeah, we'll be with you." Jude smiles.

Dammit. Those smiles are dangerous. They slip right under the careful wall I've built around myself and make me believe silly unbelievable things.

"I'm never letting you book our flights again," Vince grumbles.

A cheerful tinkling laugh escapes at the look of horror Vince shoots me.

"You made us fly coach," he hisses.

"Good Lord, you're more entitled than an omega." I snort.

Vince scowls. Jude grins, gathering our bags out of the trunk.

"What's this?" Vince asks, checking out the house.

"Our rental house," I say, rolling my eyes.

"You rented a house this size for a few nights?" Vince asks.

"No, don't be silly," I say, shaking my head at this ridiculous man. He's absolutely as cranky as Kitten said he would be while traveling. "It's the house Dexter, Issac, and I were staying in before we headed to Florida."

"Why were you living in a hotel?" Vince asks, glancing around.

"Here," I say, handing Jude the key so he can unlock the door. "Because the guys had just signed with Ruined Records and they're based out of Florida and California. Also, Kitten was there and she obviously needed support. We still have a couple of months left on the lease."

"Christ," Vince grumbles. "Rock stars make zero sense to me."

I spend the next little bit showing Vince and Jude the house. There's only one guest room, but I offer Dexter's room if one of them wants to sleep in there.

"We'll sleep in with you," Vince says, smirking. "How else can we guarantee your safety?"

My jaw drops and I wait for him to say he's just kidding.

It never comes.
