More sisters than cousins, as well as sisters-in-law.

I narrowed my eyes, taking in the designs on Jayna’s top.

“Do those pajamas have dicks on them?”

“Yep.” Jayna smiled and turned as if she was modeling. “All different colored ones. A rainbow of them.”

“You and your strange sense of fashion.”

That was when I took in Danika’s set. Hers had something that looked like flowers but also labia, or maybe they were tongues. I frowned.

“He looks confused. Tell him what they are,” Jayna coaxed Danika.

“Yes, help a dumb guy out.”

“They’re artistic flowers drawn to represent the female sexual organs. It was a present from Lilly. She has a set too.”

Danika moved into my kitchen, opened the refrigerator, grabbed a fruit container, and then walked into my living room. “Come on. Family meeting time.”

“It’s one in the morning. I didn’t expect the meeting now.”

Jayna took a seat next to Danika. “You can’t drop something like fingers and toes and expect our asses to stay in our beds.”

“I’m still processing. So let’s chalk it up to temporary insanity. Now, you two can return to your slumber party.”

Neither of them budged, only glaring at me.

“Dani, you want to handle this, or should I?”

“Go right ahead.” Danika popped a strawberry into her mouth. “You’re the MMA fighter of our duo. Clock him a few times for me.”

In the next second, Jayna jumped from her spot and grabbed my shirt. “If you knocked up some chick you are only banging to get over Devani, I swear to God, I will drop-kick your ass into next week.”

Holy shit. She was serious about knocking my ass out.

“Calm down. It isn’t like that. Give me some credit.” I tugged at her clenched fists, trying to keep her from ripping my favorite T-shirt.

“Don’t tell me to calm down. Do you remember when you decided to play big brother and threatened to kill Kir if he didn’t fix things with me? I have the right to worry about you.”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake, Jay. The situations are completely different.”

Kir had let Jayna believe he’d died after his near-fatal car accident orchestrated by Shah. Then, when he’d decided to get his head out of his ass, he wanted a second chance with Jayna. I’d ensured Kir understood that I’d break his face if he broke Jayna’s heart again.

Kir was my brother in all things but blood, and we’d faced everything together, but Jayna was my blood and a sister I’d never had the chance to protect.

“First, tell me who’s pregnant.” She shook me with my shirt.

“It’s Devani,” Danika answered while she grabbed Jayna’s arm, forcing her to release me, pulled her down to the couch, and tried to keep her fruit container from falling, all at the same time.

Jayna scowled at her. “You knew?”

“I suspected.”

Like hell.

“What brought you to that conclusion?” I asked, giving her a “you are full of shit” glare.

She lifted a brow, returning my scowl. “I’m her best friend. I know things.”
