Ithrew on a pair of board shorts, grabbed my surfboard, and ran down to the water where my brothers and cousins were.

“There you are. I thought I would have to come and drag your ass out of bed.” Christian smiled.

“Sorry. It was a rough night. Obviously, I didn’t drink enough alcohol.” I smirked. “I always have trouble sleeping when Georgia isn’t with me.”

“We all do, bro.” Nathan smiled.

“So, Mr. Groom. You ready to hit some waves before you take a dive into the world of married life?” Simon grinned.

“Yeah. Let’s do it.”

“Any update from Grayson and Gabriel?” Sam asked as we paddled out.

“Yeah. I woke up to a text from him. “Flights are still grounded. He said the hospital called him in last night, and it’s an absolute nightmare. Power is out everywhere. Roads are flooded, and accidents are everywhere. The hospital and ER are at full capacity.”

“Too bad they couldn’t have flown out a day earlier,” Shaun said.

“I know. But Grayson couldn’t with his schedule. He’s at the end of his fellowship and missed quite a bit of time when Ian was sick and with the funeral.”

After we finished surfing, Sebastian had us over for a big breakfast, and we spent most of the time together before heading to the hotel.

CHAPTER35

Georgia

The girls and I spent the day getting our hair, nails, and makeup done. Lily Matthews was the photographer I hired to photograph our wedding. She was with us most of the day and took photos of us getting ready until she had to leave and photograph Jackson and the rest of the guys.

I inhaled a sharp breath as I stared at my wedding dress that gracefully hung on the hanger. I couldn’t believe the day was here, and I was getting more nervous by the second.

“Talk to me?” Charlotte walked over. “I can tell you’re stressing out about something.”

“I’m so scared I’m going to lose it the second I see Jackson and that I’m going to look like a blubbering fool in front of him and everyone.”

“Okay. That’s understandable. Emotions are running high. But take comfort in the fact that if you lose it, everyone else will lose it too, and we’ll all look like blubbering fools.” She smiled.

I let out a laugh, for she was right. If I saw the bride crying, even if I barely knew her, I’d start to cry with her.

There was a knock, and Ella ran and opened the door.

“I have a flower delivery for Dr. Georgia Scott,” the man in the blue shirt spoke.

“I’m Dr. Georgia Scott.” I walked over.

“I can bring this in for you. It’s quite large and heavy.”

“Thank you. Just set it over here on the table.”

The girls gathered around as I removed the wrapping to the oversized white floral arrangement with light pink roses mixed in. Taking the card, I removed it from the envelope.

To my beautiful fiancée. I miss you, love you, and I can’t wait to watch you walk down the aisle to me. Only a couple of more hours until you become my wife.

Love forever and always,

Jackson

Tears filled my eyes as I set down the card.

“No. No. No!” Jenni ran over and handed me a tissue. “Makeup, Georgia. Do not ruin the makeup.
