“And who is this beautiful little girl?” He bent down.

“I’m Dr. Ella Kind.” She grinned.

“Oh. Well, it’s nice to meet you, Dr. Ella Kind.” He extended his hand.

“Thank you. It’s nice to meet you too, Mr. Russo.”

“You two may follow me to my office.”

As I walked next to Mr. Russo, I whispered, “She’s not really a doctor.”

“I didn’t think so. But she seems to have big ambitions.” He smiled. “So, what can I do for you, Dr. Kind?”

“My fiancée and I would love to get married here in the Crystal Gardens and have a big reception in the Crystal Ballroom on June 3rd.”

“Of this year?” His brow arched.

“Yes.”

“Let me check.” He turned to his computer. “The ballroom is available, but the Crystal Gardens won’t be until five p.m. Your reception will start promptly at six o’clock. Will that work?”

“I’ll take it.” I smiled.

“Excellent. I’ll put you in for that day. We do require a deposit of five-thousand dollars.”

“Can I put it on a credit card?” I asked.

“Of course.”

I reached into my back pocket, took out my wallet, pulled out my credit card, and handed it to him.

“You’re all set, Dr. Kind. Here is a packet for you and your future wife to look over. Alana, our event specialist, will be in touch to go over everything with the two of you.”

“Thank you. It’s been a pleasure, Mr. Russo.” I extended my hand.

“The pleasure was all mine, Dr. Kind.”

“Bye, Mr. Russo.” Ella smiled and gave a small wave.

“Goodbye, Dr. Kind.” He winked at her.

“What if Aunt Georgia doesn’t want to get married at five o’clock?” Ella asked as we walked out of the hotel.

“She won’t care.” I glanced down at her as I held her hand.

“Are you sure about that?”

“Yes, Ella. I’m sure.”

As soon as we arrived back at the medical center, I went into the kitchen area to make a cup of coffee and saw Georgia looking in the refrigerator.

“Hey, babe. I’m happy you’re here. I wasn’t sure if you were in with a patient. I have good news.” I smiled as I walked over and gripped her hips.

“You do?” The corners of her mouth curved upward.

“I just got back from the Beverly Hills Hotel, and June 3rdis available. I put down a deposit.”

“Oh my God, Jackson.” She beamed with excitement. “How?”
