I saw Georgia sitting on the couch with her laptop when I stepped through the sliding door.

“What are you doing, babe.” I walked up from behind and pressed my lips against the top of her head.

“What do you think about this ‘Save the Date’ card?”

I stared at the image on the computer and smiled. It was a black and white picture of us kissing on the beach with the words “Save the Date” with our names and wedding date.

“I love it.”

“Me too. This picture is so special.”

“It truly is.” I leaned down and kissed her cheek. “I need to go pack.”

“I’ll come up with you. I want to hear all about Simon and Sebastian’s conversation with Curtis.”

As I gathered my things and threw them in my carry-on, I told Georgia everything Simon and Sebastian told us.

“Well, if she and this guy get serious, she’s going to bring him around the family,” Georgia said.

“I know. I’m worried about what Simon will do if and when that time comes.”

“Grace will keep him in line.” A smirk crossed her lips.

“Ilove you so much,” I whispered in Georgia’s ear and kissed her goodbye.

“I love you too. You better text me when you land in Boston,” she sleepily said.

“I will. Go back to sleep.” I kissed her one last time.

Grabbing my carry-on, I took it downstairs and stepped out the front door where the car was waiting for me.

I arrived in Boston at nine-thirty a.m. and had a car pick me up and take me to the Liberty Hotel. When I climbed into the backseat, I pulled my phone from my pocket and sent a text message to Georgia.

“Hey, beautiful. I just landed, and I’m on my way to the hotel. I love you. Have a good day.”

“Hey, babe. I’m happy you made it safely. I love you too. Good luck with your lectures. Talk to you later.”

I couldn’t check in yet, so I had the hotel store my carry-on, and I went to one of their restaurants called CLINK for breakfast. When I walked in, I smiled when I saw an old friend sitting at a table by himself.

“Dr. Jamieson Finn.” I walked over with a grin.

“Dr. Jackson Kind. How are you, my friend?” He stood up, and we hugged.

“I’m good.”

“Are you here alone?” he asked.

“Yeah. I just got in.”

“Sit down and join me for breakfast.” The corners of his mouth curved upward. “How have you been?”

“Good. Good. Georgia and I are engaged and getting married June 3rd.”

“Excellent. Congratulations. How are your brothers?”

“They’re good. How’s the family?”
