“Me too, and I love you so damn much too.” I laughed as I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

CHAPTER32

Georgia

I stood in front of the 3-way mirror at Jenni’s studio and stared at myself while Jenni made sure the fit was perfect.

“This dress is gorgeous, Jenni. I can’t thank you enough.”

“I know it is, and you’re welcome.” She grinned. “Jackson isn’t going to know what hit him when he sees you strutting down that aisle. By the way, you never said who was walking you down.”

Tears formed in my eyes as I inhaled a sharp breath. It was something that bothered me a great deal since Jackson and I started planning the wedding. As a little girl, and before my parents passed away, I always dreamed that my father would walk me down the aisle to my future husband and give my hand to him.

“Hey.” Jenni gripped my shoulder.

“I’m sorry.” I wiped my eyes. “I had always hoped my dad would be the one.”

“Hey, you two.” Charlotte smiled when she walked in. “I’m here for my final fitting. What’s wrong?”

“I asked Georgia who was walking her down the aisle, and—”

“I’m okay. Really, I am. You know how emotional weddings can be.”

“You can walk yourself down the aisle.” Charlotte smiled. “There’s nothing wrong with it, and more and more women are doing it. Having your father or uncle or whoever walk you down and give you away is an outdated tradition. You, and only you, are giving yourself to the love of your life. You’re going to walk down that aisle to your future husband, looking as gorgeous as ever with your head held high as an independent woman.”

“You’re right. Thanks, Charlotte.” I hugged her.

“Damn. Now I wish I didn’t have my dad walk me down the aisle.” Jenni pouted, and we laughed.

“Hey, ladies.” Sofia grinned as she stepped in with Ella and Nicholas.

“Oh, let me see my baby.” Jenni ran over and took the car seat from her.

“You look so beautiful, Aunt Georgia.”

“Thank you, Ella.” I reached down and hugged her. “I’m going to go change back into my clothes. I’ll be right back.” I tapped her nose.

After I changed out of my wedding dress, I smiled when I saw Sofia in her bridesmaid dress.

“Look at that figure. Nobody will believe you just had a baby.”

“Right?” Jenni glanced at me. “Look at how much of the waist I have to take in.”

“So, Georgia. Please give us the scoop. Is this Henry guy cute?” Jenni asked.

“He is.” Ella overheard us.

“How do you know?” Sofia furrowed her brows.

“I met him the other day when Grandma Barb came and picked up Lily and me.”

I looked at Sofia with a raised brow.

“He’s really nice too.”

“Why didn’t you tell us?” Sofia asked her.

“I don’t know.” She shrugged. “It’s weird, though.”
