Choose Me

Olivia Treadwell has owned my heart for two decades. But she’s never looked at me as anything but a friend. The Sonny to her Cher karaoke partner. The guy who will never settle down.

I’ve resigned myself to playing that part, knowing that our friendship is the most important thing to us.

But when she comes to town for a visit, I’m shocked to find she’s no longer looking at me like her best friend, but like a lover ready to tangle in the sheets.

She makes me an offer I can’t refuse. One night. No strings. One night to do all the dirty things I’ve dreamed of doing to her since the day we met.

The next day, she’ll go back to her life and I’ll go back to mine.

Too bad I want more than a single night because once I touch her, there’ll be no going back to the way things were.

I want her to choose me, to choose us.

Forever.

CHAPTER1

Olivia

“Who are you?”

I raise my brows at the curt greeting from the silicone doll dressed in a black silk nightie, hot-pink lipstick, and big blond hair. She’s frowning and looks like she needs a cup of coffee.

And maybe to lose her plastic surgeon’s number.

That’s not me being petty, but being a doctor, I can spot a bad boob job a mile away.

I sigh. You still know how to pick them, Caleb.

While I admire the lingerie, it isn’t fit to wear to answer the door at seven in the morning. But this chick doesn’t look as though things like propriety matter.

She wrinkles her nose and tilts her head.

I paste a smile on my face. “Is Caleb here?”

She crosses her arms, and the movement almost causes her to have a wardrobe malfunction. “Who’s askin’?”

“Olivia.”

“Are you trying to sell something?”

“No.” I draw out the word as I try to rein in my annoyance.
