Ruby: And I had to listen to Caleb for the last week bitch about being stuck between his parents. You better not give in. Caleb is hot, but he can be whiny.

M: Are you still mad at me?
R: I was never mad big guy, I just wanted you to listen to what I was saying.
M: I did listen, I made it so you didn't have to worry. Did I not?
R: You really wanna go here, Mase?
M: I couldn't get you to fuck it out with me last night, so yeah let's go.
R: The holiday's are a scary time for you. Money is tight, families are fighting, people are depressed and drinking. I worry every time you go on shift, but during the holidays I worry more. I don't want you to be tired, because I don't want you to miss a cue at a traffic stop, I don't want you to miss a tell when you have to respond to a couple fighting. So I try and make it all easier for you. Have you noticed for the last 12 years the only gift you've bought and wrapped has been mine? The only thing you cook for the holidays is the Turkey? We only ask you to help put up the Christmas tree on your day off? I worry and the older Kels gets, she worries too.
M: You don't think I don't? You work in a school. Do you know how many active shooter trainings we go through just for the school you're in Rina? Do you have any fucking idea? Have you ever wondered why I'm there in the morning to see you of I've worked the overnight? Why I'm there in the afternoon when you get off if I'm doing days? Why I volunteer for the football games you have to be at? Don't think you have the monopoly on worrying because I'm right there with you. And don't get me started on Kels.
R: So maybe we both screwed up?
M: Maybe we did. I thought you were being dramatic and it was all fun and games until just now. But you have to understand you acting like I don't get how hard you work pissed me off. I was a single parent and I know at times you kind of are too. I get it. I get it all, but you have to LET me help you.
R: I'm sorry! I love you so much, Mase. I waited so long to have you in my life. I didn't mean for this to go so far.
M: You waited a long time? Babe I waited my whole life. I didn't either, but seriously you should have seen our faces when you walked out.
