"You're my wife, pet. I married you because you're the only person I've ever loved on this entire planet. All I want is you, and I want everything with you. Do you understand me?" I assert.

The crash of the waves against the beach gets more intense.

She licks her lips and hesitates before asking, "What does 'everything' mean?"

I glance at the puppy, then study her. I'm nervous but need to be clear about things I never thought I would want and suddenly realize I do.

I have no doubts about the life I see with her. So I confess, "Everything means you, with me and King Madden. It includes a house full of babies and you in my bed every night."

A tiny flush fills her cheeks. My dick grows so hard it hurts. That ache in my body intensifies, and I question how much longer I can go without having my wife.

She glances at my lips, then questions, "You want a house full of babies?" as if she doesn't believe me.

I shake my head. "No."

Confusion fills her face. "I don't understand. Did you just say that, or did I mishear you?"

I answer, "I wantthishouse full ofyourbabies.Ourbabies. Do you understand?"

A tiny smile forms on her lips.

I add, "Do you see the difference?"

Her smile grows. She softly answers, "I don't know if we're ready for that yet."

Disappointment fills me, surprising me once again. I wonder how I could want things I always thought I didn't. I try to hide the disappointment but assure her, "It's okay, pet. There's no rush. But I do need you back in our bed. Starting tonight."

King Madden's asleep on my lap and yawns. I still can't believe Riggs insisted we get him. I've never had a puppy and always wanted one. And King Madden's the most adorable dog I've ever seen, like a little white furball.

Riggs reaches over and pets him, saying, "Wake up, buddy."

King Madden looks up and sleepily tilts his head. Riggs chuckles and rises. "Time to go to the bathroom." He picks him up off my lap, sets him on the ground, and secures the leash to his collar. He takes him outside, and King Madden does his thing.

I toss Riggs's beer bottle into the recycle bin and unload the dishwasher.

Riggs steps inside, ordering, "Say goodnight to King Madden." He removes his leash.

King Madden runs over to me, jumping up. I pick him up and kiss his head. I ask, "Can't he sleep with us?"

Riggs shakes his head and taps the cage. "Nope. We've been over this."

"He's going to be so lonely," I state, feeling guilty.

Riggs groans, proclaiming, "He's a dog. He'll be fine. Besides, it's his house. You'll see."

I pout and then try to cuddle King Madden, but he gets a burst of energy, licking my face. I giggle and coo, "Aw, I love you too."

King Madden finally settles down and relaxes back into my arms. I take another look at the cage, then claim, "He won't take up a lot of room in the bed."

Riggs points to the cage and replies, "It's not negotiable. Now, are you putting him in, or do you need me to?"

I wince, adding, "It seems like a jail cell."

Riggs scoffs, muttering, "A jail with a big, fluffy bed and blanket. It might as well be a spa."
