Me: Where did you take my wife?

He doesn't reply. I call again, get sent to voicemail, and anger fills me. I send another message.

Me: Where are you?

That text goes unanswered too. My gut drops, and I trot across the sand. I call Kalim.

He answers, "Riggs."

I reprimand, "I told you not to let Noah be alone with her."

"What are you talking about? They don't have anything going on today," he replies.

"She texted me he was picking her up to meet with Scratch," I inform him and open my car door. I slide inside and turn on the engine.

His voice lowers. "Riggs, I don't know anything about this."

"Then you better find out," I order.

"On it." He hangs up.

I call Jones and head toward the city, unsure where I'm going but trusting my gut.

"Riggs," he answers.

"I need you to tap into Blakely's phone. That bastard Noah took her somewhere, and I don't trust him," I admit.

"Okay, give me a minute," he says.

I wait, accelerate, and cut off a truck. The driver blares the horn. I run the red light and weave through more traffic, driving in the opposite lane.

"Her phone's at the beach house," Jones announces.

My chest tightens. I say, "She isn't there."

"You're there?" he asks.

"She sent the message thirty minutes ago that Noah was picking her up," I inform him.

"You got a number for this jackass?" he asks.

I find Noah's cell and send it to him.

He says, "Got it. I'll work on it, but it'll probably take an hour or two to hack it since he doesn't have a tracer on it like Blakely's phone."

"I don't have that much time," I declare.

"Riggs, calm down. She's probably fine," Jones suggests.

"My gut says she's not," I seethe.

"You're also a jealous guy."

"Just get the location for me," I order and hang up. I veer onto the expressway and continue driving recklessly.

Kalim calls.

I answer, "Where is he?"
