I kiss him and set him down.

"Thank God you're back," Riggs booms, carrying our three-year-old twins, Conrad and Clark, on each hip. He bends down and kisses me on the cheek.

I kiss each of the boys and reach for them.

"They're dirty," Riggs states in a semi-annoyed, semi-amused voice.

I glance at their clothes, then take them from him, declaring, "I take it they had another food fight?" I ignore the food that's going to get all over my clothes and kiss each one on the head.

Christie informs me, "It got everywhere! Daddy and I were cleaning up."

Riggs tugs her close to him—she's a total Daddy's girl—and she beams up at him. He praises, "That's right. You've been a big help while Mommy was away."

I gaze over at the kitchen. Orange, green, and yellow smears cover the booster seats, table, and floor. I wince, trying not to laugh.

While we have a dependable nanny, Riggs takes more time off work to be with the kids while I'm on tour. Neither of us wants the children to be raised by someone else. Yet like most things, Riggs takes it to the extreme sometimes.

I reiterate, "You really should ask Lucy to help out more when I'm gone."

He glances at the kitchen and then crouches down in front of Christie. He asks, "Do you think we need more help when Mommy is gone?"

She shakes her head. "Nope." She turns toward me and relays, "Daddy and I have this under control."

I can't help but laugh. She's as stubborn as Riggs and sometimes too serious for a child of six years old. I blame that on him too. Every night they sit down and he teaches her ten new vocabulary words. I don't know how it started, but it's their thing, and she gets upset if I interrupt.

King Madden barks and runs in circles.

"Someone wants to play," I state.

I set the boys down. They follow him and wobble off toward the living room.

"Christie, can you watch the twins for a minute? Mommy needs to change, and I want to talk to her," Riggs says.

Christie's face turns more serious. "Okay, Daddy."

"Good girl," he commends and kisses her on the head again. She runs off, and he pulls me into his arms, murmuring, "Missed you."

I've only been gone for three days, but the feeling is mutual. I reply, "Not as much as I missed you."

He slides his arm around my waist, leading me through the house. As we pass the kids, he says, "You're in charge, Christie. We'll only be a minute."

She puts her hands on her hips and nods, watching the twins like a hawk.

Not that much can go wrong. Riggs has our house on lockdown. As soon as he learned I was pregnant with Christie, he installed locks at the top of the doors and childproofed the entire place. He also installed cameras so the TV is on with the kids in full view even when we're in the bedroom.

We step inside our suite. He spins me against the wall, slides his hands over my cheeks, and tilts my head. His lips press against mine. His tongue slides into my mouth, flicking me with an urgency that weakens my knees.

I murmur, "I missed you too."

"How tired are you?" he asks, his blues gleaming with mischief and also a hint of darkness.

My core stirs further. I reply, "I slept on the plane."

He assesses me. His erection pushes against my stomach, and he finally states, "Good. Lucy's coming over after dinner to stay the night."

Butterflies erupt in my stomach. "Oh? Why is that?"

He slides his thumb over my lips, studying me.

I wait, my heart racing faster, loving everything about this man and our life together. He's given me everything I could ever want, including things I never knew I needed.

He states, "I miss having full access to my wife without the dog or kids distracting us."

I bite my lip. Somehow, he always knows how much I need the same thing he does. And it's all I've thought about for the last month.

Our lives are crazy between my tour schedule, his company that's now the largest in the world, and our family. And we always manage to have our time together, but a night without any interruptions is just what I've been craving.

He announces, "There's an outfit in your closet. Put it on when you get dressed tonight. I'm taking you on a date to Club Indulgence."
