Colton smirks. "Of course I am. It's better publicity than being a gay pop artist. Right, Noah?" Colton's expression turns sour.

Noah flinches but catches himself, pointing out, "You're still selling out stadiums, right?"

Colton scowls, keeping it aimed at Noah, and I realize he doesn't like Noah any more than I do. He claims, "I told you I'd be okay having a smaller fan base if it meant living my life freely."

Blakely gives me an uncomfortable look.

Noah shifts on his feet, proving further to me that he's a coward. He replies, "People say that, but they never mean it."

"All you care about is money," Colton accuses.

Noah groans. "Not this again. Do I have to remind you about the life of luxury you've grown accustomed to?"

More hatred fills Colton's expression. He tears his glare off Noah and turns to Blakely, asking, "He make you do anything you don't want to yet?"

Her eyes widen. "No."

Colton nods. "I hope it stays that way."

"Don't be so dramatic," Noah orders.

"Maybe you should get in the current century," Colton declares.

Noah scoffs. "You're lucky you have me to guide you. No way you'd be topping the charts if you didn't have the publicity you do."

Red fills Colton's cheeks. He snottily asks, "Should I thank you for allowing me to make music with Blakely?"

Noah's lips curve. He replies, "I don't know. Should I think about it for a while?"

Colton huffs and says, "Riggs, I'm stealing your wife. You're welcome to join us if you want."

I realize I have nothing to worry about with Colton and that I actually like him. It's clear to me he didn't negotiate some of the clauses I did for Blakely's contract. And I feel sorry for him. Being under Noah's thumb must be hard. Also, it's good for Blakely to have a friend in the business. I open my mouth, but before I can answer, she says, "No. He has stuff to do. Don't you, Riggs?" She gives me a challenging stare, and something tells me not to fight her on this.

I step forward, kiss her on the forehead, and add, "Have fun." I turn to Colton and say, "If you ever want me to review your contract with Noah, let me know."

Noah seethes, "Shut up, Riggs."

I ignore him and add, "You never know. There might be some things you didn't understand that work in your favor."

Colton nods. "Thank you." He glances at Noah and states, "I might just do that."

Noah's eyes turn to slits.

I step back, relieved he won't be hitting on my wife. At least there's one person around here I don't have to worry about crossing the line.

Colton turns to Blakely, slides his arm through hers, and declares, "We've got six hours to figure this out. Let me show you to my dressing room."

They leave, and Noah snaps, "Don't ever talk to my clients again."

I spin, challenging, "Or what?"

Noah clenches his jaw.

I step closer, and he flinches. I stop an arm's length in front of him and assert, "I'm going to do my job. You go do yours." I push past him and walk over to the security team.

"Benny, do you have a full assessment of the place?" I question. He's been my go-to for years. He made a name for himself by handling some of L.A.'s biggest events with high-profile people. There's no one else I'd trust to protect Blakely in this situation.

He turns his large body away from his group of men and gives me an annoyed look, replying, "Don't insult me, Riggs."
