“Yes,” she hissed as she rode his cock and thumb. Blair went off like a firecracker and when she shouted his name, Blaze found his release and collapsed on top of her. She always loved feeling his weight press her into the mattress when they made love. It made her feel safe, and dare she believe it—loved.

He felt like an ass for leaving their dinner date before they even had dinner. Blaze planned on making that up to her tonight if she let him, but it would involve them “coming out” as a couple, and he wasn’t sure if that was what Blair would want.

“Can I come by the bar tonight and buy you dinner?” he asked.

“You just bought me dinner last night,” she reminded.

“Yeah, but I kind of ruined our date by having our food wrapped up. I guess I was a bit eager to get you back here,” he said. They were still in bed, and she cuddled into his side. He loved it when she did that. Blair felt like she belonged to him when they were laying in bed like this.

“You didn’t ruin our date, Blaze,” she insisted. “It was perfect.”

“While I agree that our night together was perfect, I have to say that I’m feeling bad about rushing the actual date portion of the night. Let me make it up to you tonight. I know that you have to work, so let me buy you dinner at the bar. When do you usually have a break?” he asked.

“Um, I’m working from four until close, so I usually take a break at about eight and eat something,” she said.

“Eight it is,” he said. “I’ll get Ryker to let us use his office if you want privacy,” he offered.

“I don’t mind eating at the bar,” she said.

“But the rest of the guys will figure out that we’re together then,” Blaze warned. “Are you good with that?”

“I am,” she said. “I mean, I might make less in tips, but I think that I’m good with the guys knowing about us, Blaze.” That was a surprise. He wasn’t sure if she’d ever be ready to admit that they were together again—especially after spending only one night in his bed.

“Geeze,” he breathed, “I must have been really good in bed last night to get you to agree to be seen with me at the Smokey Bandits.”

She giggled and nuzzled her face into his neck. “You were on your game last night, Blaze. Listen, I’d like to take this slowly. I mean, I’m not in any rush but I’d like to see where this leads. Just don’t expect me to move in here with you or anything. I need time to sort all this out in my head, but being with you feels right.”

“I’m good with taking things slowly. I promise not to ask you for too much before you’re ready to give it, Blair.” He wanted to ask her for all of it—moving in with him, marriage, but he also knew that doing so would only push her out of his life again, and Blaze couldn’t handle that. She had already broken his heart once, there was no way that he’d be the cause of her doing it again.

He walked into the Smokey Bandits at about seven that night. He had spent the whole day at his bike shop, finishing up with a few clients’ bikes, until it was time for him to head home to shower. He tried to keep his mind off of Blair but found that nearly impossible to do, even with a busy work day.

When he walked into the bar and she looked up from what she was doing and smiled at him, his whole world felt right again. God, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever known, and she was smiling at him. That had him feeling like the luckiest guy in the world.

“Hey,” she breathed.

“Hi,” he said. Blaze wasn’t sure if kissing her in front of the guys was allowed, so he held back. “I’m not sure what the protocol is here,” he admitted.

“Follow me,” she said. He followed her behind the bar and out through the kitchen, waving to Joker on his way. She grabbed his hand and tugged him through the back door and out into the parking lot. Blair pushed him up against the back of the brick building, rubbed herself up against him, and pulled him down for a kiss. She was fierce and he loved that about her.

She broke their kiss, leaving them both breathless. “I think that’s the proper protocol,” she whispered. “You good with that?”

“More than good,” he breathed. He flipped her around, putting her back against the wall, and pressed her into it with his big body. “My turn now,” he whispered. He dipped his head and kissed her until she was panting out his name. “Spend the night with me again tonight,” he said. He wasn’t sure if he was telling her or asking her. Either way, it didn’t matter since she was nodding her agreement.

“I was hoping that you’d ask me to, so I packed a bag with some stuff for a few nights. No pressure though,” she teased.

“A few nights sound good to me,” he agreed. He wanted every night with her, but he had agreed not to press her for more. They could start with a few nights and then go from there. “What about your brother?” he asked.

“You’re not his type and I’m pretty sure that he’d say no to spending a few nights with you, Blaze.” She giggled as he picked her up and spun her around.

“Not what I meant, honey, and you know it,” Blaze said.

“My brother knows that I’m going to be staying with you for a bit. He’s happy to have my bed to sleep in instead of my ratty old sofa. He said that thing was breaking his back.”

“So, I’m scoring points by keeping you tied up over at my place?” he asked.
