“I want it all with you, and I’m not afraid to tell you that here today. I want to marry you and have babies with you and raise a family. One of the things I love most about you is how you are with Theo, and it would be a blessing and an honor to share children with you. And if you’re not ready today, that’s fine. But know this is where we’re headed whenever you’re ready. One day, I want you in my bed every night and in my pantry every morning.”

We laugh.

I blink, and a tear drips down my face. This man is crazy. We just got back together and now he’s proposing to me?

As I stand there staring at him, I wait for fear to rise up in me, but it doesn’t come. In fact, the only emotion that registers right now is pure joy.

I swallow hard and squeeze his hand. “What’s that saying? In for a penny, in for a pound?”

“Is that a yes?”

With tears in my eyes, I nod. “That’s a yes.”

He pops up off the floor and lifts me up, swinging me around. “You’ve made me the happiest man in the world.” When he sets me down, his lips are on mine again.

Some kind of announcement is made out on the field. I can’t make out what it says, but Brady must know because he pulls away.

“C’mon. Let’s go up to the owner’s box and tell my family. The twins flew into today for the game since it’s the first one for my parents as owners. Theo’s going to be so excited.” He takes my hand and starts to walk, but I drag him to a stop.

“Are you sure you want to tell everyone today?”

He scowls at me. “You thinking of changing your mind?” I shake my head. “Good. Me either. Now let’s go.”

Brady leads me down a few hallways and to an elevator that takes us to the boxes. We make out the entire time and almost miss getting off when it reaches our floor.

We head down the hallway hand in hand, and the fact that he’s up here so close to game time seems to draw a lot of attention. Everyone who notices us murmurs to each other, watching where we’re headed.

He stops in front of a door with a sign that reads Owner’s Suite and opens the door. Everyone inside turns to look at us. I notice his parents smiling when they see our joined hands, but my attention is quickly diverted when Theo calls my name.

“Violet! You’re back!” He runs at me from his grandpa.

I let go of Brady’s hand and drop to my knees, arms wide open. Theo’s little body crashes into mine and I almost fall back, but Brady’s hand on my back steadies me. I squeeze Theo tightly and glance up at Brady, who’s looking at us as though he’s overcome with emotion.

God, I’m so happy to have these two guys back in my life. I’ll never take them for granted.

Theo finally lets go of me and steps back. “I’m so happy you’re here!”

“Me too, buddy.” I ruffle his hair, then Brady helps me stand up.

“I have something I need to tell everyone,” Brady says.

Oh man, he really isn’t wasting any time with this.

“Violet has agreed to be my wife.”

Cheers echo throughout the room, the loudest coming from Theo, who’s jumping up and down. Then he stops and looks at us. “What?”

Brady picks him up and quickly explains how we fell in love and we’re going to get married. Theo smiles and nods. “When did you fall in love?”

No one says anything.

He leans over to my parents and whispers, not too softly, “In the pantry.”

Everyone laughs.

Jasper and Lennon come over to give me a hug and offer us their congratulations. If they’re concerned about this whirlwind engagement, they show no signs of it.

Then Bianca hugs her older brother, then me. And finally, Evan gives me a hug.
